I bought this to hold an umbrella but it ended up being too small even with the adjustment screw on the stand. It is lightweight with long legs for balancing. Easy to use and fold up for storage. It feels like it has a good quality build but so far I can only use it for small beach umbrellas and trees due to the size of the opening. There is no weight to this so if it is for an umbrella, a wind gust will topple it. Not bad for the cost if you use it for a fake Christmas tree.

This patio umbrella stand is both sturdy and easy to set up. It folds down compactly allowing for easy storage and even travel. We have used it for a beach trip and although heavy to carry out, it weighed down our umbrella on a fairly windy day. Additionally, when used on the patio the weight of the base is great because it securely anchors large umbrellas with ease.

I recently injured my hand (2nd degree burns at work) and it is a bit tricky, but this is still easy to use and open. The sand feels sturdy and string yet is adjustable for different sizes of umbrellas even my small home one. Down The four feet move easily and are heavyweight metal. They can be weighted down or staked down but, in most cases, should be secure without. Its legs fold up into a nice compact long rectangular cube. This feels like a nice stung construction that should last almost forever and yet is well designed and compact.Perfect design for quick usage and cleanup afterwards

It works well on the grass if you use regular tent/canopy hold-down wires. For the pool deck I just let it stand by itself, as long as it’s not super windy. (I do have 6 foot walls surrounding the pool, so there isn’t much wind.) I actually bought another one of these because we have 2 umbrellas. For the beach, however, I recommend the “sand-screw” type anchors because I think this would get too sandy, and possibly rust if it gets damp. The only reason I’m taking off a star is because it seems a little expensive for what it is. Indeed, there is another brand that looks very similar that is 10 dollars less, but since I can’t be sure the quality is exactly the same, I reordered this same one. Oh, and while it’s great for the large size of beach umbrellas, there is no natural tree except saplings that would not be too large in diameter for the base. Forget the Christmas tree suggestion.

This does not fit a regular patio umbrella, rendering it useless. Description says “fits umbrella 1.2 - 2 inches”. Seems they use a different tape measure than I do.

This umbrella stand is helpful to have around. Use it for a standard patio umbrella or turn a beach umbrella (with a point for sand) into a shady spot on a patio. The stand is well-made and easy to use. Just pull down on the legs to release them and then snap them into place. It's easy to tighten the gear to hold the umbrella pole in place.

There are enough reviews with photos/videos to give you an understanding of the look of the product. I really wanted to like this stand and I feel it’s a great concept. However upon initial assessment I was immediately disappointed as it’s not as described. The following is my honest review and all is based on personal experience.Pros:1) Very lightweight aluminum material.2) Easy to fold, store away or carry.3) Includes 2 smaller size adapters.Cons:1) Because of the lightweight when using a large umbrella 9-10 ft, you definitely will need something to weigh or anchor the base down.2) If you reside in a windy environment get ready to anchor this down or it will likely topple over. Base alone is not secure enough.3) This is definitely not a universal base. Description states 1.55 but in realty it’s more is 1.4 maybe less. It’s more designed for thinner items, Christmas trees, smaller beach umbrellas etc.4) You get nothing else in the box aside from the base and 2 different size adapters. There is no handle, no carrying case/bag as mentioned in the description.To summarize, I felt the price for this base was more comfortable but I now realize why. My patio umbrella did not fit. I tried to rig something to make it work but I reside in a location where it’s consistently windy. I would have to invest on ways to also anchor or weigh the base down to make it more sturdy. Sadly this did not work for me and so I had to look for another product.
