The pointed end to lift staples isn't thin enough or pointy (thin) enough fir some staples. Metal feels flimsy but it got the carpet staples up and didn't bend. Would be nice if catch piece (which helps pull out stubborn staples) should be better designed.

I used this product to remove factory installed staples from chair seats, so I could add new cushions and covers. It worked really well. Just work the tip in between the fabric and the staple and most staples come out easily. If one side doesn’t come out at first, you can usually reposition the tool a little bit, and pull it out. I would have never been able to remove all the staples without this little tool.

This was the best tool used for pulling staples from floor padding. The others ones are cheap and broke.

This worked great removing carpet staples. Have a pair of pliers handy though, periodically it only pulls up one end of the staple and you need the pliers to finish pulling it out.

I bought this tool to remove the upholstery staples to help fix the bottom fabric of some of my dining room chairs. This tool was easy to use and produced better results than trying to use a flathead screwdriver.

It was amazingly easy to remove staples on furniture I was recovering. Quicker and safer than using a standard (flat) screwdriver. Plus the staples don't go flying around the room.
