The good, the quality of the paint seems very good and the color makes this visible from a distance which might send a signal to potential thieves the owner has taken some measures to thwart theft. The design makes it easy to install and remove. The price which was 50% off sale was good.The bad, the use of fairly thin spot welded hinges creates a weak point that I feel can be cut quickly. The puck lock is as cheap as they come, it's hollow and not well made (I know I should expect this for the price).I will keep this however as it is just one piece in the multiple steps I take in protecting the trailer in storage. I also use wheel locks, ball pin lock, and a tracking device.

No lock will totally prevent all thefts, but creating a harder target for opportunists will surely save hard earned money. This item installs on my trailer very easily. The lock works great and presents a hard target. I believe it is money well spent.

we use these on all of our trailers and towed vehicles, it gives us great security and we feel completely safe parking them anywhere including onsight at jobs.

This trailer hitch lock is SUPER heavy duty and seems about double the strength of other trailer hitch locks that I have. It is easy to get on and off with the key. This is a really nicely made lock system and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking.

This is a heavy duty coupler lock which looks great and is painted the right color.I was impressed out of the box. This thing is heavy and would be very difficult to remove without the key. Keep your second key safe (back-up). The key and lock are the type that is difficult to pick.Like any locks, they can be defeated but this design and weight of the steel will either slow someone down enough to get caught or will deter the thief who is looking for an easy score.I did have to fiddle a little bit to get the housing closed over the coupler and then snap the lock in place up from the bottom. I got it but with a few more times it will become second nature. I definitely sleep better knowing my trailer is protected by this monster.The color… red. Red is a good warning color, like those “Remove Before Flight’ ribbons for the pins that need to be removed before flying an aircraft. It also is a good visual deterrent for the thief who can keep trolling for his next hit.Cost… yes, it’s not cheap (cost), but it’s also not cheap (quality). A classic example of “you get what you pay for.” What’s your stuff worth and the hassle of losing a trailer and its contents? If you have nice trailer with nice equipment on it, this is the coupler lock you want.
