The optics on these mirrors is poor at best...liked the size and ease of mounting but if you had no eye problems before you will if you look in these too long.

My husband has been making some upgrades to his John Deere 1025R tractor. Tractor does not come from the factory with mirrors and that has been a big concern to him. It has also caused extra neck strain turning around so much based on the work he has been doing. We chose these mirrors with hopes that they would solve the problem.Originally thought he would have to do several modifications. But in reality he actually took the tapered bushing and flipped it 180° and by doing this he was able to make up the difference of the hole that was factory drilled in the tractor. It’s possible that the original position of the bushing was planned to give the mirror a wider range of pivot, but he is pleased with his solution and pleased with the way the mirror moves and adjusts. He also commented that a 1/2” and 9/16” wrenches are needed for installation .The reflectivity of one mirror was perfect but the other had some very small squiggles in it. These could actually be felt and it seemed that they were finished over in the production process. I don’t think they are scratches. The mirrors were packaged properly from the manufacturer. I tried to show these 3-4 small squiggles in the photo with modest results. They were each about 3/8- 1/2 inch total and doesn’t seem to affect the reflectivity or usability. While this imperfection is minor, it does keep this product from being perfect. He says he expects much worse things to happen during the life of the tractor and the mirrors. But this is the reason for the 4 stars rather than 5.
