I am a beginner angler and bought this top water bait as part of my start up arsenal for bass fishing. It was very easy to get this bait into the "walk the dog" action... and it works! I got several strikes the first time I used it and was able to land 3 largemouth bass. They weren't hogs by any means but watching the fish jump out of the water to grab it or just suck it in off the surface was awesome! No guessing if you have a strike with this top water.I have also purchased more Heddon top water lures and I am looking forward to using them!

Super easy to “walk the dog” with this lure. Bass and northern absolutely inhale this bad boy. I caught 4 good bass and 3 northern the first morning I ever used this.

Have used this bait instead of a Topwater popper and had no luck catching anything on it as of yet. I will keep trying because it has good action to it..

Good price, very durable and just well made as all Heddon Lures are, I have always loved the Spook and this size is deadly not just small mouth Bass but Large mouth and Stripers also, would diffently recommend the Spook.
