This lightweight, compact camping and backpacking chair packs smaller and weighs less than a bottle of wine. The Helinox Chair One Camping Chair measures 4 x 4.5 x 14 inches packed in its included bag, and weighs 2.10 pounds making it super portable for easy transport. The collapsible chair’s frame is made from proprietary aluminum alloy, for a maximum strength-to-weight ratio, and supports up to 320 pounds. The removable chair seat and zippered carrying case are made from ultra-durable, UV-resistant, 600-weave, rip-stop polyester that holds up to harsh weather and the sun’s rays. Both the chair seat and the carry sack are easily machine washable (line dry). Setup is easy and fast thanks to a single internal bungee cord that self-assembles the poles. Bought this for camping and for Army activities. This chair is beyond comfortable. Whether you’re hanging by the fire or need a nice place to sit in the field or at the range. This chair is phenomenal, especially for the price.The material feels sturdy. The chair is part super comfortable, enabling you to lean back. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I’ve been told it’s one of the most comfortable chairs people have tried!

I used this at an indoor convention with multi-hour long lines, it was easy to deploy and sit in a small space, and very easy to collapse and pack back up.

After years of lugging around bulky, uncomfortable camp chairs, I finally upgraded to the Helinox Chair One, and I can confidently say: this is the best camping chair I’ve ever owned. It’s ridiculously lightweight, compact, and surprisingly sturdy—a true game-changer for camping, hiking, beach trips, and even backyard hangouts.What Makes It Special?✔ Ultra-Lightweight & Compact – Weighing just over 2 lbs, this chair packs down super small, making it easy to toss in a backpack or stash in a car. I no longer have to choose between comfort and portability—this chair delivers both.✔ Shockingly Sturdy – Despite its lightweight frame, the proprietary aluminum alloy is rock solid. I was skeptical at first, but it easily supports me (~170lbs). I can't vouch for the 320lb rating but have no reason to doubt it.✔ Easy Setup – The bungee-corded frame practically assembles itself. Just unfold the poles, snap them into place, and boom—you’re done in seconds. No struggling with complicated parts or confusing instructions.✔ Comfort That Lasts – It's pretty low but well designed, giving just the right amount of recline for fireside lounging. The ripstop polyester seat has proven durable and surprisingly breathable.Where It Could Improve✖ Not the Best for Uneven Ground – While the chair is stable on flat surfaces, it can be a bit wobbly on soft sand or very uneven terrain. This chair was very lightweight and no more difficult to assemble than competing ultralight brands (which is to say it required significant arm strength).But the poles on the back dug into shoulder blades and became uncomfortable after a few minutes. there was no position in which this was not uncomfortable for 6' 4" medium build person. It was reasonably comfortable for short person, but other ultralights were more comfortable.

Well worth the extra price over the other cheaper priced chairs of similar design. Quality of material and workmanship is obviously superior. Fits my needs as a hunter/shooter.I had this chair on my Amazon shopping list for several months and was undecided if the extra cost over the other numerous lower cost chair was justified. I was first made aware of this chair when I saw a fellow shooter using it during a match earlier this year. I saw how easy it was for her to assemble and later put away. It was compact and seemed lightweight. It made my “want” list. I already have another folding chair for field (hunting) use. It was sturdy and fitted my needs. So I was in no hurry to get another.I finally brought it over the Black Friday marked down deal sale. I am very glad I did. The chair weight, with it’s included zipped up bag, just an ounce or two over 2 lbs. It collapsed into a bag that measured around one foot long and no more than 6 inches in diameter. It fits easily into my day-pack or strapped on the outside. It has strap loops on the case to allowed that.It is comfortable to sit in and is sturdy on uneven ground. Last but most important for me as a hunter/shooter, it is at a good height to let me sit in a low profile position optimized for extended observation and to engage targets when I need to shoot.
