We are so disappointed. We were really excited about this system and I ordered it early for my daughter for Christmas. We opened it and it doesn't work. The sound works on the machine. However, the CDG and video are broken. Since I did our Christmas ordering early in October, we are out of the window to return it. We have called the company multiple times to trouble shoot, but the device is broken. :(

I gave it 3 stars because after reading many different reviews of other comparable items I still think I made the correct choice for my 6 yo's bday. The camera is a neat feature but isn't very bright even with added light in the room. The microphone worked great on the first few uses but exactly 1 week after opening the box all of a sudden the volume is maybe a 1 on a 10 scale. It worked last night (3/14/14) but not today. I tried moving it to the mic2 slot, no help. I have no way of knowing if it's the unit itself or the mic.

Kitty was easy to set up and she works well. Both little ones (3 and 8) want to be stars and they love watching themselves on TV. Even Grandma had to give it a try!

I was very excited to give this as a gift to my 9year old but shortly after opening I was very disappointed. The video quality is very, very poor. Very dark on tv despite having multiple lamps & overhead lighting on. Cd door is hello kitty's face & is not very sturdy. I do not suggest buying this product.

okay, so a few friends of mine and myself decided to buy this for another friend for her birthday. She loves Hello Kitty and she wanted a karaoke machine, so this was perfect. We all thought it'd be a lot smaller than it actually is and we were all, including birthday girl, very happy. We've used it numerous times and we've have a blast with it! This is definitely a gift I'd recommend for any lover of Hello Kitty or karaoke.

The CD worked great and the sound was very good. But the video never worked. Unfortunately I waited until the 30 day return window had passed before checking it out. The vendor allowed me to return it for a refund anyway, for which I am very grateful. The return was at my own expense and it cost me over $50.00 in postage. I was told that the reason it cost so much for shipping was because it was going to California from Alabama.Because of the high cost of shipping, I considered keeping it just for the CD, but didn't. Since I was going to give it to my soon -to -be six year old granddaughter, I knew she would not be happy knowing that the video did not work. Therefore, I'm not willing to buy a replacement unless I do so locally so that doing a return would be less costly in case I got another defective one.

I bought this for my 3 yr old granddaughter for Christmas. When she opened it, her eyes got so huge, she was out of her mind. Hello Kitty, AND a REAL microphone! It was easy to set up, and within 5 minutes she was singing along and watching herself on TV. She absolutely LOVES this machine! It was a major score for Nana, and now we all get to listen to her sing her great songs. One downfall is the microphone needs to have much better sound. She has to have her mouth ON IT to get the sound to come out. I would also like to know how to get a spare microphone, as her puppy just recently chewed the cord in half and she is devastated. She was actually hysterical when she figured out it no longer works until we can get another mic. I am giving it 4 starts only because of the microphone and sound deficiency. Otherwise, it would be a flying 5.

great christmas gift. My 7 year old daughter loved it. She loves to sing and dance so this is great.
