They help ease the use of the helmet for a long time to clear it out glasses has decreased drastically due to the overhanging weight. System of checks and balances is very low key, with the most safety helmet designed to counter market because it attached, rear bolt helmet.

I would rate this 0 stars if it were all possible. The item that came in was not even close to being the item listed. instead of the product, I instead received four (4) "Flashlight mount Adaptor (J225)".

Seems like quality construction but must be for airsoft because the weights are too light for real NVG counter balance.

The weight fits the helmet just fine. Would recommend potentially purchasing longer screws, but not essential.

Great counterweight system. Attached to my Helmet like they should. Quality construction. I did wrap the steel weights in electrical tape so they won't rust. Very happy!

This counterweight system is very effective for counterbalancing a set of PVS14s or similar monocular setup. The weights are steel, not tungsten or lead. I don't recommend them for heavier NODs like a binocular setup. For something heavier, you can add a Ziploc bag of lead fishing weights to replace or add to the included weights. Keep in mind that these use the existing screws that hold your rails in place on a FAST type helmet. Many helmets use screws that are not long enough to add this accessory, so you may need a trip to the hardware store for longer screws. This is not really a pouch. The ends are somewhat open with sides that overlap. This makes it easy to conform to the curvature of your helmet.. You can use it to hold a battery if it's large, but not small loose items.

I don't normally leave reviews, however I felt obligated to leave one on this product. This "weight" weighs probably half of a 152 battery. They do not counter real binocular NVG's. Only reason it got 2 stars as it seems decent quality and I could probably attach more weight too it. Which is what I will have to do.

It's simple, cheap, and works for balancing a PVS-14. If I upgrade to a set of bino's I'll probably run a battery pack as a counter balance.
