I had to take a hammer to it to bend the left side so it could actually be far enough over to the left to screw in. Other than that, once it was on its great and works well

I do not know if the other year models are different in terms of how this fit. I ended up having to take a pair of heavy duty pliers and bend the little left lip outwards in order to fit the hole exactly where it should be. You have to be very careful how you bend the lip or else you could end up making the helmet lip not fit. It will require some strength to bend the metal lip in a way that this will fit. Overall, once I bent it correctly, the helmet lock fit great and secures your helmet very well to your bike.

I didn’t want to pay the dealer price for a helmet lock. Especially from the manufacturer. So I found this and decided to take a chance. I’m glad I did, what I got was a quality lock. Feels great in the hand and the lock works like any other. Great deal for the price!

I bought this helmet lock for a 2013 Honda Sabre VT1300CS. The lock is identical to the one sold by Honda, but the price is five times less. It fit perfectly on the Sabre after I adjusted the locating tab slightly. Use Loc-Tite on the bolt and you'll be good to go.

I have a 2020 Vulcan S Cafe - This only fits if you flatten the little tab on the side, otherwise, the hole doesn't align with the screw. Somewhat hard to crank tight due to the placement/angle so not sure how sturdy it is.Update: Not sturdy, it fell off because the nut isn't self-locking.

This will not fit a Vulcan S. It is very similar to the OEM Helmet Lock, but the mounting hole is in the wrong position. You can make it work by either flattening and rebending the bracket or, more simply measure and drill a new hole. I ended up removing the frame piece that it mounts to. That is not necessary, though. You may drill the new hole about 4mm (1/4 inch) from the existing bracket hole and it works fine. I then painted it with rust proof paint and put white lithium grease where the bracket attaches to the lock itself.

Took me some extra time to get this installed on my 2018 Vulcan S. The paper instructions included were worthless. At first it didn't seem like the bracket aligned with the frame so I was almost going to return it. You have to play with a bit in order to get the bolt to line up to get it started. From there a 10mm wrench will tighten it up into place. There's a youtube video on installing this exact product which takes the guy 10 seconds to install, but I ended up having to take my side fender plate off in order to reach behind and tighten the bolt. Once I did that it was easier for me, but it added extra time to the install. Once fully tightened it appeared to be secured and aligned in place correctly with the frame. I also recommend using some threadlock on the bolt for extra security.Seems like it would keep the helmet more-or-less secured. Will ward off opportunistic thieves but not people who will cut your chin strap to take your helmet.Pros: Cheap, fits the Vulcan S frameCons: Not OEM product therefore cannot be keyed to your ignition, so you have to carry around another key. Install a little tricky due to the tight space behind the frame.
