Cheaper and well over priced ones that’s does exactly the same job , I have the most expensive ones, but there’s no difference and you can get three for the same price , yellow red and normal also has a sharpening attachment on the top for sharper lines

Always a sharp straight line with the fine leads, and no need to grab a utility knife to sharpen a carpenters pencil. I have belts and bags from framing and trim and these are both, we can do trim all day and not have to play 'wheres the pencil' cause its always in my bag in the came pocket, handy and with the colors you can see the line in bright light or a dim room when its raining out, use the yellow, red or blue, whatevers easiest for you to see. I'm getting older so I love these.

The lead is thick and strudy but after the first mark on a board the marks just keep getting thicker and thicker. It comes with a sharpener but doing that all the time is a hassel. For fine woodworking not the first thing i would grab. For rough framing work however it is a great investment for the price. The red and yellow shows up well on darker woods but should only be used for rough cuts not fine messuring tasks where 16th really matters.

You get a lot with this kit even if I might not use some of it. The leads are very robust and sharpen nicely with the attached sharpener. The pencil housings work okay, but certainly would not be comfortable for anything else but marking a cut for material.There's a spring loaded punch for creating a divot where a screw might go and I've tried it out. It's not self-centering and it gets stuck inside a lot... so that's a 5 on a scale of 10. I took it apart and put some lithium grease on it inside and that helped a little, but I expect it to be trash pretty soon. There's also a metal scribe but since I work almost exclusively with wood, I doubt I'll ever know if it works or not.The worst thing about the pencils are that if you pull off the top to access the sharpener, you have to push it back in really hard to keep it from falling off. That action pushes the lead out too far and makes it easy to break. I'll probably just end up sharpening the tips with a utility knife.These are a rather cheap experiment for me, so I'm not sure if I would buy them again or not.

This just what I needed for my woodworking projects. I have a center punch and different colors for marking as well. Great buy and call me a happy camper!
