I travel a little more at ease with this in my suitcase. If you’re renting an Air BnB or staying at a hotel, I recommend this product. It does seem to give accurate locations of the specific signals put off by any cameras, however it does give off alerts to areas there may be other electronics, so it can be confusing on what you’re finding, maybe even providing false accusations of spy cams. I do like the fact it’s compact, has different ways to detect signals, including any UV rays not visible to the human eye alone. But due to accuracy concerns, I give it a three star rating.

I had high hopes for the Allchn Hidden Camera Detector, but it fell short in a lot of ways. While the idea behind it is great, it just doesn’t perform well enough to be reliable. The detection is inconsistent, and I experienced far too many false positives, making it hard to trust whether it’s actually finding hidden cameras or just picking up random signals.The instructions aren’t very clear, and the device itself feels clunky to use. I expected it to be a bit more straightforward, but it requires a lot of guesswork and trial and error. It’s a bit better than doing nothing, but I wouldn’t say it gives me peace of mind. The technology just isn’t there yet for reliable home use, and I can’t recommend it if you’re looking for a dependable anti-spy tool

I found the instructions difficult to follow. There are so many different options and ways to use this, but I couldn't really understand the differences and why/when to use each type. It did pick up some of my devices that I used as testers but it was hard to pinpoint exactly where they were - just too-general indications. I liked that it was small and compact but I don't feel confident that I'm using it correctly so it's not very effective for me.

Okay, let's face it. Unless you're willing to invest hundreds of dollars, these detectors are not going to be the fastest, most accurate, can't ever miss devices.I have another device that I've brought with me to hotels and such. This one is better. It includes radio frequency pick up and a significant light & viewer for spotting lenses. It may not be perfect at picking it up every time but there are so many variables to explain why that might be.In the end, it gives me a degree of peace of mind when using the device as a confirmation that the establishment values my privacy.

I have lots of wifi security cameras both at work and at home, so I tested this out by pointing it at where the cameras were. Sometimes I got a super strong signal saying there was a camera, and other times it didn't work hardly at all even when pointed directly at the camera. It seemed to pick up other wifi devices better than the cameras. It went off like crazy when I pointed it at our tv. Also goes off like crazy when pointed at computers. The funny thing is how inconsistent it is when you're actually looking for cameras, and that's supposed to be it's intended use. The red light feature does work. The light on it is also pretty bright. Nice that it charges with USB and doesn't take batteries. I'll still bring this along with me to hotels and air BnB's, but I do question the accuracy of the unit. It could easily miss a well hidden camera.

I was able to easily detect my Camera's within 3 feet distance away. My Wifi signal was easy to pick up from the next room over, just pointed the Antenna in that direction and it started beeping. This Device comes with an Antenna, and the controls allow for different levels of Sensitivity of the Receptors, I never had to use the high ranges to detect any signal. I am Satisfied.
