First off I really like Hide & Drink and have purchased several other items from them recently. I’ll be doing some positive reviews on those items soon. However this folio/document holder is absolutely useless. The problem is that it is described as 12” wide so one would think it would work for standard 8 1/2” x 11” papers but it doesn’t. The problem is that the stitching/seams take up too much of the 12” width and it is very flat so it is very difficult to get your papers to slide into the folio. Also the inside where your papers are going to go is the “rough” unfinished side of the leather so they don’t slide in well at all. The bigger problem is that you have to slide the papers in perfectly straight or they catch their corners on the edge/seam area of the folio. Also it is so narrow that if you are patient enough and you monkey with it to get your papers to go in it it will not hold vey many at all. The “handles” are merely just holes in the leather and do not look like they would hold up over time. Needless to say I was very disappointed with this purchase and returned it within and hour of receiving it. Honestly I wouldn’t take one for free.

Make of great quality leather. Style is perfect for a handled document holder. The value of the product supercedes its cost. The overall thickness of the leather is thick enough to keep a document from getting wet if a drink was spilled onto it whitening this beautiful genuine leather document holder by Hide and Drink .

Adorable lil bag. Holds my pamphlets for distribution perfectly. Only complaint is I wish they came in a variety of colors. A slightly larger version would be appreciated too. Love my products from this company.

I had hoped to carry my calendar and relevant documents or just reading material. However, it is too small for anything except letter sized paper folded in half and a book or a couple of magazines. No pockets, no lining, no closure—just. Piece of leather sewed together on 3 sides with a handle cut out. Decided to keep it in case I ever need to stash some small paper items somewhere or carry a book and magazine in the car.Leather is nice, no odor, but needs conditioning. I don’t like the feel of the faux handle.

Solid, well constructed, simple bag. It's perfect. The leather had a couple of scratches on it but I use it all the time and it has plenty of scratches now. Character. Everywhere I go I get compliments on it. Even from guys.

Quality of leather and stitching is very nice but the inside dimensions are smaller that I expected.

I purchased this bag to carry notebooks and pens between meetings. It is perfect and stylish. So stylish that I purchased a second bag to carry as a handbag - It compliments a number of leather boots that I own. The bag has a beautiful leather patina.My 5 x 7 notebook fits easily in the bag with room for my phone and pen. My iPad also fits nicely in the bag.The shape of the bag is simple and the craftsmanship outstanding. I will purchase more items from this company and am likely to buy the same bag in other colors.

If you are after an envelope style small carry this is great. Compared to the other one offered (darker leather wider handle actually is more of a trapezoid shape and wider carry capacity) this feels more like a craft or small book and notebook carry than a handbag to wear out. The handles are narrow. But quality with hide and drink is always consistent. Came w a lovely canvas dust cover too
