If having to look under every rock because we could not find the spare counts as a good example of hidden …. Then this did the job.We would consider getting another set to gift.

If you are going to use this for geocache, it will stand out to the average game player. I wonder if the way it contains your objects or information will it stay in the rock. It is not a bad product but it is not a great one either.

When I ordered this key hider, my life was a mess. I'd lost my life savings betting on Belgium to win the women's gymnastics world championship, I got fired for eating someone else's tuna sandwich from the work fridge (what can I say, I have a weakness), and my wife left me to marry someone else who, quote, "doesn't listen to Eiffel 65 at top volume at all hours of the night." After my house burned down I was living in a storage locker, and to top it all off, someone kept stealing my keys and breaking into my locker! I told myself that, for $6.99 plus tax and shipping, I could at least solve one problem in my life. And that's where it all started to change. I discovered that my grandmother's tea kettle -- the one thing that had yet to be stolen the night I first used this hide-a-key -- was actually a 600-year-old antique. I sold it for a cool $1000, which was enough to buy a new set of jogging clothes among other things. Feeling well-rested because I'd put the stress of getting robbed behind me, I went out for a jog and happened upon an egg in the park. Well, it turns out that was the last egg of the nearly-extinct Lesser Appalachian Warbler, and by moving it off the path so that it wouldn't get trampled, I had saved the entire species. The incident got me on the cover of Bird Defenders magazine, and then the groupies and endorsement deals started rolling in. Apparently the Secretary-General of the UN is a subscriber, because that got his attention, and he personally called me to ask if I would be part of a top-secret team charged with protecting Earth from certain destruction by an invading force from Zeta Omicron IV. Most of what we did is classified, but long story short I managed to swipe the Zeta Omicronian matter replicator technology, and we're on our way to using it to solve world hunger. If only I could find the key to our secret lab -- it's got to be in one of these rocks here ...All in all, four stars -- the lid on the bottom is a bit loose.

Perfect. One for house and one for cabin. Very realistic.

I liked this product because it is so realistic and really does look like many rocks. The nature of the colour is very common with rocks, and so if you are trying to hide a key or a geocache, the secret might be to put it in a pile of rocks that look almost the same. The keen eye will know the difference but normally will many people otherwise.

Natural looking. Fits 1 or 2 standard keys. I wouldn't expect it can keep water out though, so location would be important.
