About this item

  • The Recommendation from Z Review: The new Rinko tuning emphasizes a strong, tight low-end while also giving a generous boost to vocals via a modified mid-range response. This IEM is Aiming to sound like a much higher-end than its price tag and I think Rinko will no doubt compete and overtake most other IEMs in the range.
  • The precise, meticulous, crisp, and accurate frequency division scheme maintains SeeAudio's clean and high-level connection. RINKO has a smooth and extremely strong high-frequency extension performance while maintaining the traditional dynamic dominant sound domain response benefited by the application of a 6mm micro flat panel unit.
  • Diligently accessories: Customized Silicone/ Foam ear tips (S M L / 3 Pairs) for Rinko according to Zeos's suggestion to bring Rinko to the best-sounding performance.
  • Upgraded Cable: It comes with a 4-Strand gray twisted silver-plated 6N oxygen-free copper wire 12 wires per strand.
  • Important news: Rinko Touch Keycaps set by Mechkeys will come next to match with our Beautiful Rinko IEMs, they're adorable and interesting. Stay tuned with us for more details.

At first I didn't like these, I thought they sound like they had crazy out of control mids. Then I found out my phone was to blame. It's a Samsung Note 10+ that has had problems since day one. I did the hearing test the first day and it's always told me the hearing in me left ear is nonexistant and I've believed it for about 3 years. Long story short, the phone doesn't produce sound almost at all on the left channel of it. You can tell by listening to other sources and then the final straw was taking the hearing test on my Samsung tablet and it testing fine. And not even using any adjust and sound being amazing, like being a whole new world again. Anyway, these earphones used to sound somewhat shouty, and now with a normal functioning source and a good DAC/amp dongle or a really good DAP these sound quite good and so smooth. Lots of detail. Clarity is really good, sound is source and DAC/amp(if used)dependant, they are on the heavier side but not by too much(just be aware of it), they are a very good value if you have some better equipment.Thank you.

Suenan bien, pero solo tengo un día con ellos y el Rinko que está grabado en los IEMs ya se está despintando...

I have been trying to find a replacement for my old HyperX cloud 2s. However since HP bought HyperX the quality of the newer headsets are very horrible. When it comes to these IEM's I watched dozens of reviews on youtube but couldn't decide. But its a good thing I did. The one thing they have issue wise (which isnt a real issue) is the fact that they need to be broken in. MOST reviewers said the same thing. Wear them for a few hours, listen to various movies, music and games and you will slowly adapt to them. As an audiophile and former sound engineer I can with certainty say these are some of the best sounding headphones I have ever owned. The range in which they cover is insane for the price. $99 is a freaking steal for these.

You have to give it to Mr. Zeos of Z Reviews on YouTube. He does a great job advertising for his product collaborations, like these "Rinko" IEMs. They which came with a functional but kinda thin cable, which Z forewarned for. More about the cable later. They come in a cute little box with anime figures on it, if you care for it. I initially had a very hard time with the Rinko IEMs because out of the box they had no bass whatsoever, despite Zeos' jubilant "Oh the bass, the bass, so much bass" exclamations. In fact they were mostly very "sibilant" (lots of harsh treble). Eventually that went away but it took extra steps, time and money. I bought and tried different amps, both tube and solid state as well as portable DACs and DAPs to see if it would improve sound quality. No, or not enough. At this point I nearly returned the Rinkos as I got very, very frustrated and spent a lot of time and extra money. Eventually I went back to the Z Reviews video and listened very carefully to his hints and tips. If you follow these steps you might have the same decent results. #1 these IEMs need a lot of burn-in/break-in time. Think 2 weeks. Put on a 10 hour rain and thunderstorms soundtrack or bass boosted rock mix (on repeat) on YouTube on maximum volume and bury the IEMs in a couple of pillows somewhere in a closet where you can't hear them. Come back 1-2 weeks later and you'll find the IEMs will have mechanically broken in and sound much better across the sound spectrum. But still not the bass I was expecting... #2 Ear-tip "rolling" is required to get the promised bass response. Standard tips that come with it are not good. Zeos peddled his alternative "Render" memory foam ear tips which I bought and tried in several sizes as well, but no bueno either. I then ordered every ear tip brand, type and size that Z mentioned and tried those too. I could not believe how big of a difference all these different ear tips made in terms of the sound quality, frequency spectrum and volume. I thought "tip-rolling" was audiophile BS but they truly are all very different! (Much bigger difference than rolling tubes on a tube amp for sure.) The ONLY tips that gave me a good quality sound with the voluptuous bass Mr. Z promised me were the Spinfit "New SpinFit CP360 - Medical Grade Silicone Patented Ear Tips". Those are comfortable and provide a lot of bass. Obviously you want to ensure you order the correct size for your ears as they need to seal properly. #3 I upgraded the cable to the HiFiGo Letshuoer x Z Reviews Chimera Cable that Mr. Zeos recommended in his passionate YouTube video, which was $64.31 incl. tax & shipping. It definitely it is a more sturdy cable. Does it sound "better"? Probably, if you have highly resolving equipment and very good ears. I think it sorta does. Hope runs eternal. It's a nice "braided" cable. It not only looks good, but feels good and sounds good. For me one of the big selling points is that it comes with 3 (!) interchangeable plugs: 2.5mm balanced, 3.5mm unbalanced and 4.4mm balanced, you don't have to buy another cable if you need another plug. (Ok apart from 6.3 mm and XLR, which are not included). One little problem is that the 2-pin cables sometimes separate from the actual IEMs (specifically, Mr. Z's "Rinko" IEMs) which is a problem because you might lose the IEMs! However I cannot determine whether the pins in the cable are too small or that the little holes in the IEMs are too big. What I do know is that either way, we can blame it on Mr. Zeos and his collaborators. So all-in-all, including the "affordable" initial $99 purchase of the Rinko IEMs, once I add the cable(s) and 8 different sets of ear tips, as well as some portion of the DACs and DAPs I bought to try and make these things sound good, I'm well north of $300-$500 which means I could have bought other, much more expensive IEMs that may have sound much better, straight out of the box. As they say, audiophilia is a "journey" and this one meandered quite a bit. My end result is a Rinko IEM setup that sounds "fun" as Mr Z would say and has a lot of bass. Not linear or neutral and definitely not audiophile. But fun. I guess I'll keep them now that I spent so much time trying to make them sound good that I ran out of the return window. After all this, I'm just mostly unhappy with having bought 7 different sets of ear tips that don't sound good on these IEMs as that was a waste of money. (I do recommend the Spinfits, and nothing else.) Pfew. I had to get this off my chest. Thanks for listening!

For starters, if you don't have any normal eartips I recommend considering getting some spinfits, dekoni bullets, TRN t tips, azna xelastec or moondrop spring tips in addition to your order - these come with a memory foam filled silicone wrapped tip that may not play nice with your ears. They're better than the symbio tip design, but still I struggled to maintain a seal in my left ear with them.Important details: they come with a nice carrying case, if a bit bulky. The cable is a nice enough 0.78mm 2 pin, very slightly recessed. They are VERY easy to drive, running off of my laptop headphone jack just fine, a fiio BTR7 on low gain or wireless neckband. The size of them is very small and while I normally prefer a "custom fit" shell with a little bump, these stay in place very well, with a middle of the road depth insert into the ear and stems that aren't uncomfortably thick like the truthear zero. I think basically every human ear (with tips that you like) will fit no problem. They're light weight and the shells are very understated, I almost think they're a bit boring looking. Personally, TRN brand T-tip eartips are my favorite, but everyone's ears are different. But in a nutshell, these are my single favorite pair of "pure fun" headphones, and nothing I've ever heard at any price sounds like them. They use a dynamic driver and small planar magnetic driver without a crossover or correction for the distance between the drivers to synchronize - this gives the bass and midbass a holographic, 3d sense unlike anything I've heard before. It's wild, and really cool. They're absolute bass monsters - not overwhelmingly bassy and next to no midbass bleed, but the INTENSITY of the bass is enormous. Similarly, the treble has that planar magnetic intensity, since the DD is used exclusively for the bass and mids. It's not piercing or sibilant, very easy to listen to for hours despite being really intense. It really lends itself to being played at lower volumes, the intensity has me not really feeling the need to crank the volume at all, compared to some of my more neutral headphones. Mids aren't even very recessed, either. Vocals still sound present and clean, but I'm not the best judge of that since I don't listen to a lot of vocal music. Orchestral pieces, jazz ensembles, punk rock, EDM, these rule. The end result is that songs sound completely remastered and it's super fun. These have above average detail and middle of the road imaging and soundstage, but the layering is crazy good and the sense of direction is amazing. It brings forward different parts of the music that you never noticed before through presentation alone. I was listening to Sturgill Simpson's "A good look" and now I know there's a dude going absolutely BERZERK on a cowbell in that song that I'd never noticed before. It's not a detail thing, he's there on my more analytical iem's, he's just standing closer to you when the rinkos are playing them. It's little details like that which have me listening to entire songs on my test playlists instead of skipping around like I usually do, just because new stuff keeps jumping out at me.That sense of "location" means they can game really well too.If I had to dig for complaints, it'd be that I do wish it came with more than just the S/M/L "render" eartips and maybe a simple modular cable with a 4.4 and 3.5 head. Also, the rinkos don't really like my Xduoo TA-10R hybrid tube amplifier, it really makes them sound weird in a not good way. They really like solid state amplification. They're definitely not for the person who wants music to sound exactly how it was recorded/mastered. These are a vibe, focusing on fun and intensity in a way that I've never heard from any other "v shape" sound signature IEM or headphone. There are plenty of options in the $50-100 range that do neutral and clean, but nothing I know of at any price that does what Rinko does. I'd say these would be worth the money at $250, honestly. For $100, you can't go wrong. With how much the IEM world has been converging on a basic harmann curve, these are so refreshing. They're now my single most-worn pair.
