Iām not a music equipment enthusiast, but I know good sound when I hear it. This amp boosted the musc form head unit. Sound is load but nee equalizer for clarity

Trust me this amp is no good. Don't waste your hard earned money on this amp, you'll only get disappointed and end up returning it and also charged a restocking fee from amazon/seller, this amp is nowhere near its rated power, 1600 watts?? Not at all. My speakers ( (4) 6x9 Jbl Gto 939 )sound like they were hooked up directly to my head unit (DMH-1500NEX). I went with a 5channel stinger amp and im telling you, what a huge difference.Hifonics do have great prices but they're amps overheat to much and they are nowhere near they're rated power, this amp specifically didn't overheat on me, it's very lightweight, small amp and is very easy to install but the power isn't any good.

Great Amp with a great price. the bass knob is just what my system has been missing. Four kicker two ways and a Memphis 4 ohm 10 inch sub. The pioneer touch screen puts out four volt threw the preamp out puts. It sounds great!!!

UPDATEWell, Channels 3 and 4 failed. I spent the day testing and then tearing down the entire rear interior quarter to get into the amplifier tracing the problem to the FULL/HPF switch fritzing out... It currently has a piece of folded tape wedged in it to keep it functioning.This is the kind of failure I find completely unacceptable... I have not decided whether to pull it out to fix it or to return and replace it or what... But because of the turn around time I will probably land on fixing it myself.At any rate I'm not happy with the situation.So, 5 stars dropped to 1Original review:I approach this purchase with some trepidation, what it came down to was it fit in the tight spot I had to mount in, and the specs looked good enough to produce the sound quality I was hoping for.And so far so good. I'm actually impressed with the clarity it drives a pair of 6 x 8 front component speakers, a pair of 6 x 8 coaxial speakers at 4ohms and an 8 inch dual coil subwoofer wired in series at 4 ohms. You can turn it up and get it loud AF without any clipping or distortion.The sub is a little under driven, however the sound quality is very good.I will come back and update you all if there is any news on its future performance.

hifonics is a good brand but seller mislabeled the header this is a 1600 watt amp not 1700 as it says
