This is pretty cheap junk, to be honest. It really isn't a telescope, and it looks and feels like what it is - cheap plastic. It is cute looking, so as a prop for a kid's room set maybe? But for actual use, just get a similarly priced pair of binoculars. You'll see a lot more and with less of a headache.

On the whole, not a really good purchase. It is far more toy than telescope, there is absolutely not "diy" to it except screwing on the tripod, and it will not help you look at anything you cannot already see with your naked eye. I would look elsewhere if you are looking for a beginners telescope.
