I went with Yukon primarily because I wanted the best in the aftermarket for towing. Gears arrived undamaged and complete, with a coating on them and oil on top of that, both in plastic bags, and then the whole thing in styrofoam inside a Yukon box. Comes with a Yukon sticker and a setup guide for shim thickness and torque specs (which has wildly INCORRECT info for the pre-2011 Chrysler 9.25").Ring gear variance is 0.0025", which is roughly 5x the allowable variance of OEM gears per the manual. This is "normal" for aftermarket gears. I was hoping Yukon would have a more precise product, but no. For this reason these gears will be noisier than even high-mile, ancient OEM gears. I set mine up at 0.008" backlash at the tightest point. In no time there was a lot of dentist-drill style noise, and I decided to open it back up in 400 miles. Oil was black due to the wearing off of the coating on the gears, lash was closer to 0.012". Pinion depth was perfect, pattern was good. Reset it to 0.005" tightest spot of backlash, and in the process reset the carrier bearing preload. Also added the B&M diff cover, which is THICK aluminum, and between it and the gear lash adjustment, the noise is much improved. Still louder than 350k+ mile OEM gears.Be aware, these are NOT 4.11 ratio (37&9 teeth). The part # says they are c9.25-4.11. They're actually 4.10 (41&10 teeth). This was a benefit for me, because my front gears are 4.10 already. Although it specifically specs 2010-down, the ring gear is dual drilled 7/16" (-2010) and m14 (2011+).I called Yukon to see what the deal was and got a response to the effect of "our gears are made in 3 USA forges, with minor variances, a lot of the ring gears are dual drilled." He asked for pictures and part/production #s off both gears and confirmed "they look like ours". I looked elsewhere online and found (c9.25-4.11) 4.11 Yukon gears, with 37&9 teeth, no mention of dual drilled ring gear, for 2x the price of these. Here's some information:-Yukon owns Yukon Gear, USA Standard Gear, and Richmond Gear.-Yukon offers the highest price AND the best warranty AND new steel only out of the 3-Richmond's value line 'Excel' specifically states 4.10 ratio for Chrysler 9.25 with 1yr warranty, recycled steel, and dual drilled ring gear; and usually made in India or China-Richmond's race line offers 4.10 also (this gearset is supposed to be soft steel, race only, not for towing); claims made in Italy-USA Standard Gear offers 4.11-Yukon under their own brand offers 4.11 (supposedly this very PN I bought)It appears some vendors still have c9.25-4.11 (37&9 teeth), while others are getting this "B" updated version with 41&10 teeth and for roughly half the price: which could be because these may be 're-boxed' Richmond Excel gears.Nowhere on the gears does it say Made in USA, only on the box. The box also claims 4.11 ratio though... Take it with a grain of salt.Hopefully my $80 premium over the Excel line means these were forged in the USA...This gear set is a bit of a gamble.

Hello everyone! After lifting my Jeep Xj, and installing bigger tires, had to re-gear to 4.10. First set of new gears were G2's, they did not last for long, before the ring starter to break teeth's. Then installed Motive, they lasted less than the G2's, after a short round trip they started making a loud noise on my way back, disassemble them, they had a terrible premature wear, not the one you see when not installed properly, but the one you see when they have hundred thousands of miles on them and are worn out.Had read about Yukon gears. But had no idea were to buy them. Did some research and finally found then on Amazon!Installation was easy, they provide a very clear and easy instruction guide and mark pattern schema.I do a lot of high way travel to get to the Off road trails I like to explore, while towing my camping trailer. They have held up to the task until now (5000 miles). They seem strong and good quality product.Looking forward to putting more miles on them and coming back to extend my review.

pinion gear needs to be undercut where the outside pinion bearings seats -- they leave a radius there which does not allow the pinion bearing to seat properly ,, there fore you do not get the proper pinion bearing preload when setting the gears up --- the picture of the gear in the ad shows this area to be undercut but this is not the case with this gear -- I had to machine the gear and modify the pinion bearing to correct this problem.

Watch out for the bolt pattern if you use the smaller bolts... Great part.

Ordered this on the Chrome page for full browser (PC) and it didn't mention double drilled. Pulled it up on the phone with the mobile webpage 'cause my buddy says "Nah, you f'd up.", lol. SO it seems on the mobile page it shows some specific details. Like the words "double drilled". Incidentally, which means it has 20 holes drilled in it.It's kind of important if you don't have a double drilled carrier and don't want 10 extra holes in your ring gear. Some people will say "what's the difference", or who cares. BUT I'd rather have a plain 10 hole ring gear. I couldn't even find a 3/8 and 5/16 carrier for a Chrysler 8.25. Dana 44, of course. Think musclecar. Nitro, baby.Anyways, if you'd rather have a plain old ten bolt ring gear and ain't going to double drill (unlikely) your carrier/Detroit Locker anytime soon, this ain't for you. I would hereby humbly request the little detail be added to the full browser webpage, not just the mobile. Tx...
