2*2mm zinc particles, seller XAODANN, arrived sooner than described, in this instance in a well marked plastic bottle.My application is a little different: as rodent repellent (specifically, beaver repellent). For many years there were no beaver problems with 2x30" zinc galvanized culverts for a constant low flow neutral pH stream, when the culverts were replaced with plastic suddenly the rodents took a liking to the location. Maybe global warming or something else-- but read that zinc is unpleasant for beaver so bought this lead free zinc as an experiment in repelling beaver. 750g and after 6 months no beaver dams at the culverts, although will need a few years to determine if the zinc actually works or if this lack of beaver damming is just a coincidence. 2x2mm provides a good zinc metal surface area and easy to spread. [Powdered zinc is unsuitable due to exothermic reaction making application more difficult, and too fast dissolution of the zinc metal into water. Need to have zinc persistence over time to repel the rodents]Time to renew application of the zinc, this supplier in this form works well.
