Imagine the Scottish Highlands, where the lovely green glens roll over the foothills with a serenity that's so heartbreakingly beautiful that it's almost bittersweet, and you'll have a sense of the merriment waiting for you in your pint. For how do you describe a strong ale of such beauty, with its locks of flowing brunette and chocolaty highlights and one simple purpose, which is to please? And like the mountains highlighting the horizon, this ale's immensity will impress you with its big, bright mouth of malt and the velvety smoothness of the kettle caramelization. And like the clouds pouring down the mountainside, you'll be impressed with the hints of roasted and nutty malts, the delicate kiss of smoke, and the comforting warmth of alcohol, as if you were warming yourself before a fire and admiring the majesty of the Scottish Highlands.

The flavor matches the description. Raw materials perfectly matched.

I was hoping to replicate Founder's Dirty Bastard. It's very close. And I'm very pleased with the way this brew turned out. I cask conditioned it. Had to release the pressure and set it at about 6 psi to serve. It's so good!

A little more complicated of a recipe for a beginner to follow, but the final product was probably one of the best beers I have ever tasted! I finished off 5 gallons with the help of friends, who all loved it!

This brew is downright medicinal. The hops were so powerful and fresh. I could live on this stuff.

I have been home brewing off and on for about a decade. I am truly impressed withthe quality of ingredients and was amazed with the final product. Great balance between malts and hops. If you are patient and allow for proper fermentation, you will really enjoy this ale. Has a potent kick without a strong alcohol taste. Will definately brew this one again!
