First, the color code for the wiring harness seems to be non-standard for I2C. Make sure you verify this before before plugging it into a bus.Second, this item ships with no documentation, meaning you're on your own to figure out the I2C addresses of the two modules. The Adafruit BMP280 is typically found at x76, but this one is apparently at x77 (and x38 for the AHT). I had to load a I2C scanner into an Arduino NANO to determine this.Beyond those inconveniences it seemed to work fine.

Out of the two, one was missing and the other looked as if someone had tried it and returned it. Wires where bent and stripped and packaging was torn apart.I definitely got someone else's partial return as new. I returned without even testing.

There is no documentation, data sheet or pin out, provided with the product. The socket wiring is very definitely non-standard.Because of the lack of documentation it can be confusing. Each chip contains a BMP280 and an AHT20. You need to carefully examine the sockets and determine the how the socket is connected to Vdd, Gnd, SLA.Documentation and odd wiring aside, the chips work very well and the mounting and sockets are very convenient.

This sensor is wired backwards. Two choices I have are replace the wiring or not share a common bus which obviates i2c.

Aside from the wiring harness being completely backwards (Black positive, Yellow negative, Red is SDA and White SCL) took off a star, it works great when you power it correctly (good thing you get 2 to a pack). I hooked the first one up red + and black - 3.3vdc and it got really really hot to the point of components sliding off their pads and no longer functions. These use a 5K ohm internal pull-up, so you might not be able to parallel 2 on a circuit.Update: I used an ADA Fruit I2c 8 channel multiplexer, put each device on its own channel back to 2 pins on the ESP32 controller. Working much much better on 4.5vdc
