worthless driver because the manufacturer cut corners on a $0.50 cent component and bad circuit design technical details belowin the course of testing this driver on a standard nema23 name brand stepper motor after about 2 minutes it overheated and failed short circuit. if my supply hadn't been current limited it would have killed my stepper motor toosave your money and get one of the many drivers priced at the going rate instead of this cut rate onei'd ask for a replacement but owing to what i found in testing i know that even functioning "properly" this driver will be substandard and not fit for purposetechnical detailsthese use a 4n25 optoisolator on the pule input which in theory could work at up to 250khz maybe even 1Mhz if designed cleverly with the datasheet spec 2us rise AND FALL time at 10ma 10v. in practice with the optpisolators this manufacturer used it's more like 1us rise time and 60us fall time leading to at best 8khz pulse rate if the entire rise time was necessary and since very little is needed 15 khz/pulses per second is about the max it will dothe quality drivers use a 6n137 optocoupler which is designed for data transmission and is designed for up to 10Mhz and would probably work past 20Mhz in this applicationput some scope traces in the photos to show what the problem looks likethis is also not a tb6600 driver but none of these are almost all of these are actually based on the tb67s109 driver which is in effect the same with a few more features.

I bought one and it seemed ok so I bought 2 more for my router build. Those 2 are real clunkers. Using standard Nema 23 motors with plenty of power supply. They miss position right out of the box. The first one works much better but will still misses from time to time. These are a NO GO.
