Exactly what I needed to reinforce a long closet rod with a lot of weight on it. I put glue on the screws before drilling them in pilot holes and it doesn’t budge.

I was looking for a closet rod support for the middle of my wooden closet rod. This one was too small but it worked very well as a hook for my laundry bag. I ordered a larger one for the rod.

This was just was I needed to solve my sagging rod issue. I’ve purchased shelf brackets with rod support before; I guess my closets were badly made because those never work for me. The rod is never at the level those prebuilt supports assume. With this I get the perfect height for my closet rod.

Hooks are heavy duty and do the job (though I used through shelf bolts(10/32) rather than the screws that came with it). I am downgrading because while they truthfully say it holds a 1" rod, they also say it holds a 1" closet rod. Almost certainly the closet rods you have in your house are 1 1/4 inch diameter or bigger and so would not work with this. I have never seen a 1" closet rod at my local lumber yard. I was doing a short section so just purchased a 1" wood dowel and it works fine.
