This is in my opinion the best scout scope on the market. Zero at 200 and the BDC works well. The variable zoom ring is in the right spot for using the support hand thumb to move it. The eye relief is set up properly. Very clear glass. It’s been on about 5 hunts now in very cold 15°F environments that were wet, and it’s also been in some very humid conditions. I’ve had it get covered in snow and rain. It has never gotten foggy inside or let me down. I’ve bumped it into quite a few things and dropped it on some rocks from about 3 feet. It held its zero. I’m very impressed. I’ve used much more expensive conventional scopes and this one is on the same playing field if not better than some $800 scopes.

Man great clarity, and zoom. Everything functions as intended. My only dislike is the parallax function. It feels like I'm unscrewing the whole scope only to tighten it down with a nut and doesn't make a difference, but I haven't needed it at any magnification or range. Idk thing functions great. Instructions are great as well, simple, consice, important, and useful. Lens covers are great but the front one falls off my .308 bolt gun after 30 rounds of practice.

This was put on a socom16 with utg qd low rings. It works perfectly, I would buy again.

Very clear glass. Great eye relief. Inexpensive for the quality. Exceeded my expectations. I mounted this on Socom 16 M1a. Used Burris rings 1" size. Great setup for $206 total, rings and scope shipped to me. If your debating this optic compared to the others that are more expensive, i'd recommend going with this scope if your on a budget. It works great! (made in China though)

Eye relief isn't really what should be considered a scout scope. Halfway between that and a standard relief, originally mounted on M1A, didn't like how far over the action it had to sit, worried about shells hitting it. It is now mounted on a Mossberg MVP Scout which has enough rail to bring the scope far enough back. There is no focus adjustment for the reticle, so it is hard to keep the reticle in focus when shooting (very hard) despite that, I was able to zero the rifle with about 1.5 inch groups at 100.For the price it's ok, but I wish I had spent the extra money and gotten the Nikon Force XR. I have the standard scope on another rifle and LOVE that scope.UPDATE: Moved to a different rifle, 40 rounds in there is a black blur that almost looks like a scratch on inside lenses. The zoom lever is now stuck on 7 and WILL NOT move. I'm not even going to waste the effort on trying for the warranty because the scope just isn't that great to begin with.

Scope was installed & aligned by Steyr's factory armorer in Bessemer, AL during their yearly open house. The scope couldn't handle the recoil of a .308w firing Styer Scout. Less than 500 rounds have been fired and both the vertical & horizontal reticles inside the BDC have come loose inside the scope and vibrate; changing the shooting position. Rifle has been stored & transported inside the Steyr OEM padded shipping container. Nearly always shot from a Caldwell sandbag...Product was fine initially, but can't be trusted to field conditions. Other options will work out better. A Primary Arms Red Dot with an ACSS reticle and 6x magnifier; The Burris scope (The weight on a scout rifle... Terrible!). For someone with more money, Swarovski was a new Z3 model that is currently unlisted but available for purchase (Saw it at the Steyr open house). It has a low magnification of 0.75x; allowing incredible field of view from a traditional rifle scope.

I just purchased the scope and mounted it in Warne 1" QD low rings, onto my M1a Scout. That was a chore because of the way the rings come apart, but after I got it mounted and locked in, it took no time leveling and bore sighting it in. I haven't shot it yet. That comes Saturday, but this is exactly what I was looking for. The long eye relief is PERFECT. I got the one with the 308 BDC Reticle and I love it. It appears to be a well made optic and the entire rig locks up tight in the rail. I will submit another review after I shoot it on Saturday. For now, I couldn't be happier. The only thing I can't figure out is the covers. They are the exact same size and they fit the front of the scope perfectly, but anyone looking at the scope can tell the back objective is significantly smaller than the front so, the cover doesn't fit. Don't know if that was a mistake or intentional, but clearly one is useless.

Great scope for the price. My only complaint is that I wish the eye releif was longer but it is sufficient for my RUGER GUNSITE SCOUT IN 308. Sighted in well, and held zero for 50 rounds. Mounted with the warne quick detatch low scope mounts. Awesome combo. We will see how durable it is over time.
