Saved a bunch of money with this DIY kit. Got my machine ready for the new season. Easy to do. Just need a pair of plyers to remove the spark plug.

Fits as good as the OEM filter. It is hard to judge how good the paper element filters, or how much air resistance it presents compared to the OEM filter. If you look at the picture, the black rubber ( maybe glue) covers a bit of the filter paper close to the edges, so that diminishes the exposed filter area. (The OEM filter does not do that). I do not imagine it matters much, it is not a precision instrument. The engine seems to run fine with it, so I assume it lets enough air in.
