Like some other reviewers, the tool I received was a similar spring tool for removing hinge pins. Still a great idea and a useful tool. Hopefully the inventory mix-up has been straightened out, because these are all really handy gadgets to have around.

I have been working working for sometime. I have been waiting to get better at finshing my project. I use this and it was nice to have nail heads down in wood and then cover with wood filler. This was easy to use.

Overall I’m very pleased with this tool, I’ve been using it for about a month and it works great. The tool has a nice look and feels like it’s designed to fit the contours of my hand. It feels like it has a better spring than another tool that a different company makes.I was impressed with the black finish and was happy to see that it was as high quality as I hoped.

This one was wrecked before I was able to use it.

I love the idea. The strike is solid but the tips are kind of wide so you often end up putting a big ding in the wood around the nail or tak you are trying to drive in.If it had a smaller diameter tip I think I would like it better...

In the interest of full disclosure, as a trusted and unbiased reviewer on Amazon I was able to order this product free of charge. This will be an odd review since I am reviewing a product I didn't request. I had requested a double ended center punch, what I received was a door hinge pin loosener. Both products work the same way so there is some relevance. For the average home owner, this is not an item you will use very often. When you have the occasion to remove a door you will be glad that you have this.To use you touch the pin-end of the remover and pull back on the spring loaded hammer and release -- the door hinge pops out 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch - amazing. Even with the bottom hinge, there is enough room for this to work well. To re-insert the hinge pin you hold the hammer end on the top of the door hinge pin and pull on the other side and release - the door hinge pin pops back into place. You may have to repeat this a few times but it seats wellSo initially I tried this on a front entry door that gets removed maybe every 5-6 years to refinish. So I said to myself, let me try it on a door that has never been removed (I have been in this house for almost 30 years), and it worked just as well - amazing.I can't fault the manufacturer for receiving the wrong product so no star deduction.
