Just received my rod holder today and took the kayak out to give it a try. It's a very sturdy, seemingly well made holder. The part that locks into the track is easy to get good and tight and locks into the track well. Rod holder is nice and tight and it's stability is only dependent on how secure your track is. Holder can be turned to point your rod and any direction and locked into place and can be adjusted to any angle and locked into place. The holder will also accept any reel, bait caster or spin caster, there's a channel in the center on the bottom of the holder that allows your spin caster to be oriented the right way. As I said, Ive only just taken it out the one time and I do more bass and crappie fishing, so I haven't hooked anything with it one the holder, and it would be more the exception if I did. I more wanted it to have one more place to keep one more rod when I head out and it seems quite functional for that purpose. Very easy to place and remove. For the price, I don't think I could beat it

There is no track included to mount these. Very disappointed.

These rod holders are excellent quality and well designed. They are made from super durable high impact plastic which should last many years. I like that they are not too big and bulky......I think they are suited perfectly for most freshwater tackle. Azimuth and tilt adjustment are simple and lock securely into place. I like that the mounting bases have a lock feature to keep the rod holder locked into the base. It is important to note that these holders use a unique castellated tooth interface to prevent the holder from turning when locked into its base. This locking interface will not be compatible with many other manufacturers of rod holders, so consider any cross compatibility issues when fitting your boat. All things considered, I'm very pleased with these rod holders. Definitely recommended.

I did quite a bit of research for a rod holder for my Perception Outlaw kayak. The kayak comes with 4 backwards-facing rod holders, but I wanted something to easily attach up front (preferably without damaging the hull). I was skeptical that there weren't more reviews for this, but glad I took a chance! It is sturdy and easily attaches to the side rail (loosen it up first by unscrewing it). You can easily rotate the angle once the base is locked in (make sure you remember to lock in the attachment after adjusting!). Best part is, when you're done, just screw it off clockwise (righty loosey, in this instance). There are probably comparable products for twice the price, but I'd encourage you to give this one a shot!

I bought this for my husband who loves fishing. It's very easy to use and seems sturdy. It holds his rod very securely and doesn't take up a lot of space.

Very sturdy and works well. We are actually using it for a different purpose on our balcony and it is great.

Simple and effective. They hold nice and tight, they're quick release bases, quick adjustable angle, and tilt is adjustable through the thumb screw. They have a nice and simple rubber strap that covers the top of the rod and keeps it in place. The T track attachment is strong and easily put on and take off. The bases are small so they don't get in the way when you take it off.no complaints. Great product. Solid and works well.
