Put this HiViz dot sight on a Baikal 12 Gauge over-under. Really catches the sunlight and provides a great bead for slinging some pellets.

Thought this would be a screw in replacement for an SKS. Nope, way too small.

It was tricky to install, but most beads are difficult due to size. Once I finally got the right screw in the assortment it went on nice and tight. I put it on an older baikal ij 18m. It took the 3mm x 6 screw I think. I used blue loctite as well. Glows nicely in the sunlight.

Quality control issues or these are not really 2.5mm. I bought 2 and one was spot on fit great on one shotgun excited to install it on another shotgun with the 2.5mm thread but it the second one I got was off by .2mm so it didn't fit at all. The picture I am showing what I got 2.3mm and 2.5mm the bead I was replacing. The description says it is aluminum but it is magnetic, not sure if it is an alloy or not but I doubt it is a strong thread, I'd be careful if you install this on an expensive shotgun, or just avoid it.

On my Mossberg 940PT it was literally a 5 minute install and that because I had to make sure the threads were clean. On this specific it goes in with a Quater turn before proper alignment, no need for grinding. Also I didn't follow the instructions of installing the post with loctite then wait 2 hours.... I initially screwed the post to the sight and just test fitted to the barrel and it was almost there(1/4 of rotation before alignment), so I just put blue loctite on post screwed it to the sight the put loctite to the post then proceeded to screw one whole piece to the barrel turnred 1/4 turn and DONE!.... best $8 spent on my PT!!

Straight forward installation. Not tall enough for my liking.

It was very easy to install, I found a video on YouTube from the manufacturer on how to install it. If you don't feel comfortable installing it, go to a gunsmith but don't blame lack of experience in working on your own firearms or not being able to follow simple instructions on the sight or the manufacturer.

Good value. Comes with all the thread sizes you’ll need. It is the right size; NOT too small. I put it on a cheap single shot Turkish 20 gauge, replacing the brass bead. Big improvement, much more visible. I accidentally broke the bugle shaped tip off of the light pipe. Looks much better and works just fine. If I get another one for another project, I’ll take an exacto knife to it and loose the odd looking bugle part. You do need some loctite

Great sight, comes with multiple sizes for different types of shotguns. Mounted on my Stooger 2000 with the one already on it and it fit perfectly in the hole where the stock sight broke off. A dab of loctite and I was good to go!For the reviewer who was complaining that you need to add a place for it to screw in, well I don't think you should be owning guns buddy.
