The Hiwill 4.1 channel Dolby Atmos Soundbar is a great home audio system, the soundbar uses Dolby Atmos technology, this helps it provide an immersive soundstage. The kit has 2 front surround speakers (wired), a bass booster, and a soundbar - delivering an impressive 300 watts of power to the speakers.Dolby Atmos has been around for over a decade but it is still considered advanced surround sound technology, it is renowned for creating an immersive, 3-dimensional audio experience (unlike traditional surround sound systems that assign audio to specific channels).I am using the system placed on a table in front of and alongside my TV, but it can also be wall mounted. The Dolby Atmos gives a great focused sound 'localisation', it brings the audio to life in all directions - with a movie it felt like I was bang in the middle of the action.According to its marketing materials, the speakers have alloy diaphragm drivers, and the soundbar has advanced alloy diaphragm drivers made from aluminium-magnesium alloy, and this combination certainly gives a good audio performance. The kit includes a 5.25” external (wired) subwoofer, it delivers deep, punchy bass that is able to rattles the room with volume. The kit installation is quick and straightforward, it features HDMI eARC auto-configuration, the eARC cable is simply plugged in and the system automatically detects and syncs with the TV.Additionally, the soundbar supports Bluetooth, optical, and AUX inputs, making it compatible with a variety of devices for easy integration into various home setups. The soundbar can be fine-tuned having 12 customisable bass and treble levels. It also has 3 precision-tuned EQ modes (Music, Movie, and News) to give specific audio elements. It is a great home audio system that offers expansive sound, immersive 3D spatial audio, and customisable sound options.NB DTS decoding is not supported.

This feels very cheap, like the plastic and stuff, all the wires, it doesn't feel premium. It is distinctly cheap. The sound is good though, not cheap at all. The sound is full and room filling (in a small room), and the additional speakers add a wider soundstage to my untrained ears. It is way better than your TV speakers, that is for sure. The wired subwoofer packs a punch, and the whole system is very simple to set up.Plug in a HDMI cable to the eArc HDMi port on your TV and away you go. It is as simple as that. Messing with the settings, the bass etc will leave you setting it to default most of the time in my experience, but good to have the option.Overall, despite it being plastic and creaky when off, when you turn the system on, it shines. It is legitimately good. Maybe not up there with the £300 soundbars, but better than most £80 sound bars.Overall happy with it, will be going in the spare room for the future.

Update: Company emailed me after my review with title ok for price. They thought maybe I had gotten a defective system and offered o send me a new unit and firmware out to me to see if indeed that was the case. I did not complain or give one star, but they reached out anyway and offered to fix the issue. I installed the new system and firmware and the system sounds great with good bass response and clarity. Is it a Bose or JBL? No, but it is also not $1000 and that is okay Happy with system and extremely pleased with customer service which exceeded my expectation. Absolutely wonderful experience. Company stands behind product. 5 stars.

Bottom line - would recommend to anyone looking for an entry level sound bar system.I ordered this to improved the sound of my TV in my living room - I have a 5.1 system in another room, but that is mainly used when we watch movies, not everyday TV.The product arrived well packaged and was easy to setup. I opted for the optical cable connection and had zero issues with connectivity.So..how does this sound? Overall, I would say it offers a very nice upgrade over the built-in speakers of the television...both in terms of clarity/range and volume. The 'music' preset is good and I find I use this setting all the time - both for music and TV.However, this unit does have some drawbacks that prevent me from giving it 5 stars. First and foremost, the bass is definitely underpowered. It is powered via the cable connection to the main soundbar unit..not a built in power supply. As a result, at higher volumes or bass settings you can tell it can't keep up with the other speakers and gets lost, leaving an unbalanced listening experience that is heavy on the mids and highs. If you get right on top of the speaker when this happens you can definitely hear chuffing, but I haven't heard any clipping (so at least that's a positive). My parents have a slightly more expensive system (maybe 20% more than this) and their bass is independently powered and much more powerful.Another thing is that when using the 'movie' setting, some of the frequencies get garbled and almost creates a sort of clipping sound. As a result, I have stayed away from this preset all together. As mentioned above, the 'music' setting works great and this never happens - even at the same volume and bass/treble settings.Overall, I am pleased with the soundbar and am happy to have ordered it. While it cannot compete with higher end soundbars or dedicated sound systems (not that I would expect this), it has a very good price to performance. If you are looking for something with deep, punchy bass, then I would keep looking.

Videos probably wouldn’t do this product any justice. For the price, it is a great setup. Audio is clear, bass is nice but not too much when turned all the way up. I recommend the earc setup if your tv supports it. It’s top notch for a great deal. I don’t know how long the speakers will last but they do sound great.

The sound is very poor and the wired design is so stupid and cheap. It distorts at medium-high volume, and the soundstage is incredibly narrow. There’s no surround effect, and everything sounds like it’s coming from a single speaker. I regret not spending a bit more for a better-quality product. Would not recommend this to anyone looking for immersive sound.

The center speaker isn't as large as it appears in the listing. But, it did solve the audio probkems we were have with a name brand sound bar. Even when set to dialog, that sound bar always made dialog quiet then sound effects would blow out our ears. Even turning off surround on chromecast didn't solve that. Prime video is the only app that has a setting to boost the dialog to overcome this issue. We don't have that problem anymore. The sound is good, it has acceptable volume and bass. The problems:When the speaker turns on it doesn't stay at the last set volume. It goes to an absurd level of 14 of 30 which is extremely loud. Our usual listening level is between 5 and 7.The led display often stays on showing the input (ARC) which is bright and distracting (it can be seen in the photo). Sometimes changing the volume makes it disappear, but usually need to pull out the remote for the speaker and turn mute on an off. Even when it does shut off, it takes 30 seconds. This of course requires the use of multiple remotes rather that just our chromecast remote. We consider this unit to be a good value even with the annoyances. We'll be keeping

I am nothing but impressed by this Dolby Atmos soundbar from Hiwill. It arrives well packaged with everything well protected by the packin. In the box is the soundbar, the subwoofer and two satellite speakers. There is also a well written instruction manual along with the power supply, remote and connection cables. All the speaker wires are connected to the speakers and the terminals are marked appropriately so they get connected correctly..Also in the connection kit is an HDMI cable, an optical cable as well as an auxilary cable - even the batteries for the remote control are included.Whilst it might sound complicated connecting everything up only takes a few minutes. The soundbar and the soundbar can either be surface or wall mounted (screws and wall plugs also included). On connecting it to my Samsung TV with the HDMI cable the TV automatically detected the soundbar and configured itself to output through the soundbar. The sound quality is so much better than just the TV speakers and the subwoofer just adds to the whole experience. I also connected a Sony cd player using the optical output and again I really enjoyed the sound produced through the soundbar. Even turned up pretty loud the sound was clear and not distorted. In addition to the physical connections the soundbar is also Bluetooth capable and can be paired with ant blueetooth device.Overall this is very easy to install, outperforms it's cost and enhances my setup whetner it is outputting from the gaming rig, the television or just playing music from my phone.

Having recently upgraded our main TV and soundbar to Dolby Atmos, we were left with an old Samsung TV and Yamaha soundbar. The Yamaha being solely a soundbar with no sub-woofer or additional speakers. This kit transferred to the kitchen. When I was offered the Hiwill to review, I accepted it. The intention being to see if it could improve the old equipment.Setting up was quick and very simple. Effectively the soundbar and sub-woofer were swapped out with the Yamaha. I didn't bother with the two secondary speakers. I used the optical cable as the TV is non eARC. I set the soundbar to optical and was up and running. The sound quality for what is a relatively inexpensive system is excellent. Although not quite up to my main system, but it's about a third of the price. However the Hiwill is massively superior to the Yamaha which when new was twice the price. The clarity of speech is particularly noticeable in all sound modes. When set to Movie, the delivery of sound effects and soundtrack doesn't overpower speech. Wacking up the volume, the system remained distortion free.Even without eARC connectivity, the soundbar responds to the TV being switched on and off. Additionally the soundbar remembers the last settings. Therefore you only need to use the soundbar's remote control if you want to change the previous sound level or mode.I hope you found this review useful. If you have a question, I always try to respond when Amazon forwards them to me.

This system was easy to put together. There's two options for connection to the TV. I opted for the optical cable as I didn't have the right hdmi cable port.Everything plugs into the sound bar, in clear designated places. The sound quality is fantastic I have it on about 3-5 anything more than that and it feels too loud for the small room I have it inThe quality is brilliant and once you've set it up, it will stay connected
