I have a small YouTube channel, and was looking for a small mic(s) that I could use when filming content with my smartphone (Galaxy S10). I had been having trouble recently with wind noise blocking out the audio when using the built-in microphone on my phone, and also issues being heard when speaking from a distance. I decided to try this set for the following reasons1) Price. Coming in under $30, it was worth the gamble to give them a try.2) Connection options. With the multi-plug receiver and bluetooth mics, I could either connect the mic directly to my phone via bluetooth, or I could use the included reciever to plug in to either the aux port or USB port if my bluetooth was tied up with another device (in this case, a bluetooth remote shutter button).3) Included accessories. This may seem dumb, but the included case is what helped me choose this unit over others. I want to keep all my equipment together without losing anything, and this case does that nicely. Other units don't include a case. This also includes a short (2") aux/headphone cable extension in case your phone case is way too thick to use the receiver, as well as several USB adapters for changing C to A and A to C. It's a real help to have that stuff on hand when you need to make a connection in a hurry.I was happily surprised to find that yes, I *CAN* connect the mics directly to the phone via bluetooth without using the included receiver. This alone is a pretty nice feature. The receiver is also great to have, because it allows me to connect quickly when I'm in a hurry, either to my phone OR I can connect to my PC using the aux/headhphone jack.Battery life seems pretty decent. I've only used them once or twice so far, but they do seem to hold a charge pretty well when not in use, something I can't say for some of my other inexpensive small accessories (like my remote shutter button). I charged them when I initially got them, and after sitting for a week or two, they still had plenty of charge to record 2 hours worth of content and they still seemed to have plenty of charge left. I'm very happy with the battery life. The receiver is also a decent unit. I was concerned about the plugs not being long enough to connect without having to remove my small phone case (Spigen ToughArmor), but both the headphone jack and the USB-C connection were long enough to connect without interference with the case, but also not so long as to make it flimsy or gangly. Really well designed, IMHO. The plastic feels cheap, but for under $30 you have to expect that. The mics seem to work well, and the audio quality seems at least as good as the built-in mic on my phone. The fact that they come with BOTH the foam covers AND the "dead cat" covers is nice - It allows me to set up one mic with one of each, so I can pick whichever one I need depending on the conditions without having to swap covers (which isn't hard, but isn't super-easy either). I've only used the black foam cover so far, but it did a decent job of quieting wind noise in a light-moderate breeze (allowed my voice to be heard, and wind only sounded like a low background rumble). I suspect the "dead cat" cover will do even better. My ONLY complaint is that the clip on the back of the mic doesn't swivel - it's permanently set at 90* to the mic body. It works, but if it swiveled, it would be PERFECT and would allow me to tuck the mic inside my collar. As it is, I kinda have to clip the mic on horizontally. It works fine, but it's a bit ugly in videos. No biggie. One other thing to be aware of, since you'll be wearing them on your shirt most likely, they do pick up your breathing quite a bit more than your phone's built in mic (and this is due to the mic proximity to your mouth). Again, it's to be expected, but if you're a heavy breather or a mouth-breather, you should be aware this will be an issue with ANY body-worn mic that doesn't have some kind of noise-cancelling.They do a good job maintaining their wireless connection, and filming in and around my driveway I had no problems with "dropped" connections. Connection was a snap, just turn on the mic and the receiver, and they connected almost immediately. Connecting the mic via bluetooth directly was also as easy as making any other bluetooth connection with the phone.Overall, I would rate this kit as EXCELLENT for the price point (under $50). I was also looking at mics in the next price point up ($50-$100), but from my fairly extensive research you don't get a whole lot more in the way of features even at double, triple, or quadruple the price. I can only guess that the difference in price is in sound quality, and for me these are plenty good for a small-time YouTuber trying to get off the ground. They are comparable to your smartphone's built-in mic, and these guys have a VERY usable level of sound quality. Personally and from what I have researched, one would have to jump to an even higher price point ($150+) before you would have a noticeably improved product. And since I'm no "Mr. Beast" (yet), these will definitely be my go-to for the foreseeable future. One recommendation: since you do have to charge each mic and the receiver independently, I would STRONGLY suggest buying a 3-plug "gang" USB cable splitter to charge them. I picked up a pair here on Amazon for under $10, and it GREATLY simplifies charging. Instead of needing three separate "power bricks" to charge the three, I just use one with the splitter and all three parts are fully charged (and conveniently located in one place). There's plenty of room in the carrying case for the second splitter cable, and the first splitter cable stays plugged in to my dedicated mic-charging power brick.

I am a virtual high school teacher and this mic was a lifesaver. I was able to use this so easily. It took me a minute to realize that the part that hooks into the computer had to be charged but it is so nice that you can go from charging to using in seconds. My online students could not understand me before and said I sounded robotic. Now, they hear me clearly. I watched my video sessions to see the difference and it was like night and day.

Last year, I bought an earlier version of this product and found it incredibly useful for situations where I needed to record speakers for learning content I develop. That product delivered clear, crisp audio.I saw that there's a newer version and it has a fantastic improvement over the earlier version: rather than have two separate receivers, one with USB-C and the other with Apple lighting connectors, this version comes with ONE integrated receiver that has an headphone jack, lightning, plus USB-C and an adapter to use for USB-C. This means I can plug the receiver into any phone, my work laptop, my macbook pro and pretty much anything that will record. (I can even plug it into my Go-Pro!) This is a game changer, especially as it doesn't limit good clear audio to being in a studio with a desktop microphone setup! These microphones come in a nice compact case, so I have it tucked into my laptop bag and placed the older one in my DSLR/video bag. I've had a few occasions at work where we had last minute client requests to attend events where we needed to capture a speech from leadership. This product makes it possible to get the person speaking, instead of hoping that the people around me stay quiet while the speaker is talking. The tiniest quibble. I could use the old lightning receiver with my phone case on, but the larger receiver won't completely plug into the lighting jack when my case is on the phone. Not a deal breaker and overall, not going to be a problem since this product makes it possible to put my phone in my pocket while recording. If you're thinking of starting to vlog or want to stop using the tiny condenser mic on your phone or video camera when you're recording video, you will be happy to have these microphones.
