These fins are replacing some old Naish fiberglass fins I've been using for kitesurfing. I took these Ho Stevies out for a few sessions this week and they perform amazingly well. I needed really stiff fins to handle the forces from the kite and these provided exactly that. Also the company is a great small business and I've always enjoyed the quality and price of their products.

Right fin arrived with small chip taken out of the tip. I love HO!STEVIE products but I'm very bummed out about this.

If you are like me, then you've looked these fins over a few times and probably delayed the checking-out process. Stop it. Just buy them. I received the fins early than expected, I just shaped a 6'0 fish and needed a pair of fins for this twin set up. These futures slipped in perfectly and locked with a few twists of the provided fin key. Fins come in a nice package and can be stored for travel, also comes with a wax comb. Whoa Stevie dominated these fins. Tested them in HB in 3-5 surf and they were just fine! I hope he comes out with a slightly larger set for twin setups. Order them already.

Such a great value. No need to buy expensive fins from bigger brands. These are far superior than stock fins and yet not ridiculously expensive. Used them on both a Firewire el fuego and a Rusty Piranha - good upgrade to any board. Fins, rails and tails are the most important part of a board and these provide an inexpensive way to upgrade your quiver and rediscover older boards you might have.

I use Twin Fin set ups on my quad boards, so I usually have to buy a thruster set for the back. I wanted a little more release to compliment the FCS Twin Power set I have on the front of my Rasta South Coast 2-Stroke , and this set worked perfectly...stable, yet allowed me to take advantage of the speed of the Power Twin, but compensated for the stiffer ride. I like the matte finish...you can see the honeycomb construction inside, but the all-black, matte finish compliments the board more and doesn't look like a plastic set. The fins slipped right into the FCS 2 boxes, and worked perfectly in every way. Less drive than some sets I've had, but if you want an affordable loose Tri set, you could do a lot worse than these.

I'm not going to use these for a few weeks, until my new board is done, but when I opened them, I just had to get some pics up because people need to see them and this brand is completely underselling themselves. Visually, at least. The rest is to be determined.The wallet and key alone need to be mentioned and shown in their description. The key does mention not to use too much force, I didn't read the rest, it could say it might damage the grub screw, it could say it might damage the key, but the metal portion is straight in the plastic, and every one I've ever had like that eventually wallows out and ends up spinning in the finger handle, because grub screws do tighten and get salt caked etc. Better ones are bent inside.But I use an actual tool anyway.But the fins look great and appear well constructed. We get huge here, (pre,post hurricane, and normal large swell), and I've never broken a fin short of hitting a rock. And that did more than break a fin. So I have faith, but we'll see. I'll update when boards done. Just started shaping, so there's that, then art, then glass. Then I'll get a chance to go through a lot of fins and give a REAL in depth report. Stay tuned. I've spent twice as much for fins that look no better. I'll let you know exactly how they perform. They look great. Stoked.Update 1. Board I had intended to start new fin data log on going through many alterations to get shape perfect, which is now done, we're nearly done w art and should be glassing (finish glassing) soon. But I couldn't wait so took these out this morning in about 3 foot beach break, fun but not world shattering. Used a pig lying around that had round rails, mushy tail, and little to no bottom concave, in other words, as maneuverable as blimp. It had G5s too, and was great for a starter. With these Ho Stevies, I got much more tail bite, so made board much more maneuverable. I can't speak to speed or face control yet, that will have to wait till the new ride is done. Will keep updated. STILL STOKED!!!!Update: newest board done ULTRA STOKED!! With the design of this board (basically a getting barreled board), and these G5s, I can hold a line on the face, stall, get covered, and accelerate out easier than any board I've ever had. That's part board design, and part fin design. Then when it's not barreling, I can do any move I'm capable of with the greatest of ease, and with more control and feedback than I've ever had. And they just look fantastic. Judge for yourself.

I like the Ho Stevie branding- simple and subtle. I've heard that 40% of the board performance comes down to fins, which makes these a great upgrade for little money.I bought this set, and an inexpensive side bite (GL) fin set so I can run a thruster or quad setup on my board. A Ho Stevie! 5-fin package for the popular 5/4/3 fin box board setups would kill! But I guess there is more profit in selling separate thruster and quad setups even though the front fins are identical.I did have trouble fitting one of the fins. The holes in the tabs were a little low and the plug was not seating completely. 5 minutes with a drill bit to make the hole "taller" and it was fixed. This may not be the fin's fault as that fin box was replaced on the board (the original was ripped out), but it is an official FCS fin box. It was a quick easy fix.
