Hi! I'm not a welder (at least not a very good one), but this brush is better than any brushes I've found that are sold as grill brushes. The bristles are heaver than most grill brushes and stainless so they don't rust. The scraper end helps get crusted on stuff, and the small ends go in the cracks to scrape those clean too.

It does a good job of cleaning up slag. Don't use the scraper part but it seems sturdy enough if one needed to scrape something. I've always been relatively pleased with Hobart products

I use it everyday at college works great ends have mushroomed over a bit but what can you expect. Definitely not a chipping hammer but does its job.

I bought this a month ago,and already a third of the bristles are gone. When I use it now, it's like an old Christmas tree losing its needles.I'm a weekend welder on an old Jeep I'm restoring, not a full-time welder, so I'm disappointed that this thing hasn't even lasted ten hours, especially with a reputable name on it like Hobart.
