This is a great stock if you have the cheaper "stock" version. No frills, nothing fancy, but well built and comfortable.

A bit heavy for a 10/22 stock, but it feels solid. The LOP is a longer than normal OEM stocks, but thats okay if you are between 5'4 and taller. Placing the barrel and receiver in the stock did take a bit of smithing to make the takedown screw engage into the receiver, the material was a bit much and I had to drill out and widen the diameter of the hole. All in all, I like the stock and I will be getting another one soon for my other rifle.

Good stock, I had to trim a little flash here and there and sand down a few sharp edges. The screw hold for the action is the tiniest bit off forward, but a few strokes of a round file fixed that. Stock has a good feel to it, I like the pebbling in the neck area. Barrel does not fit tight in the foregrip, might bed it anyway. Other than those minor things, it is worth the money. If I have to buy another it will be a Hogue.

The transition from the factory wood stock to the Houge stock was quick and easy. Fit and finish is very nice. The overmoulded stock is much more rugged and you don't have to worry about nicks and scratches.

The stock looks good but fit is not very precise.Placing the action in the stock was extremely tight. The main mounting bolt hole in the stock does not align with the mounting hole machined in the rifle assembly.

The feel and styling of this stock are much better than the plain factory wood stock. The receiver fits very snugly and I like the lack of barrel band. It did need some fitting to get the action takedown screw to align with the threads in the receiver and to not pinch the barrel just behind where the barrel band would be. The mold lines weren't horrible but did need some sanding to fully eliminate (I'm painting this stock). I wish it didn't have the rubber butt pad since that's completely unnecessary for a 22LR rifle but it's not really a problem.

Mine was a little tough to install at first, only because the bolt holding it on was pretty tight, but aside from that it comes on and off no problem now. The stock feels amazing in the hands and is a lot more ergonomic than the factory wooden stock it replaced. My hands are on the small sidr and the grip and forend both sink into my hands perfectly; I wish every rifle felt this nice. The material alone is very smooth but the texture applied to the grip and forend make for a very secure hold.

This stock fit my 10/22 perfectly . . . took maybe 90 seconds to put on once the wood stock came off, also the work of about 90 seconds. Looks great, feels great, really good gripping surface, and the swivel studs seem to be plenty strong. Looks like it was factory installed. It came very quickly from the seller, too. I highly recommend this stock if you're looking for a replacement for the original hardwood carbine stock.

I had a Hogue rubber overloaded stock on my 10/22. The texture was great but i found it to be very flexible. I decided to try the nylon version and couldn't be happier. It fits like a glove, there is zero play between the stock and receiver and the barrel free floats the entire way down the channel. This stock is much more ridged then the rubber version and still has good traction with a solid feel. Nice affordable upgrade to a standard 10/22.
