It’s very windy where I live and the plastic clips were constantly breaking. These attach easily and hold tight to the lights.

this is our second purchase of these clips - they hang the lights we use them for great! we have had 50mph wind and still held to the gutter. definitely worth it! easy to hang.

Been hanging lights on gutters for a Griswold level display since I was a kid, these things give some of the best fit and solid hold I've seen. No more plastic for me lol. They also work okay backwards to slide in the shingles for my peak with no gutter.

I don't want to get on my roof any more often than I have to, so sturdy hooks are key. These don't damage the gutters, are easy to install, and very sturdy! I gave them a quick spray with white paint and they are not really noticeable on the gutters. Definitely worth the investment. They're pricier than the cheap plastic ones, but you won't have to redo them in 2-3 years when the plastic ones have all cracked from exposure, plus they're made in the USA.

We live in central Texas and got tired of our weather/UV making plastic clips brittle- plus they could never grab our gutters properly. Got these and was amazed at how spot-on they fit. I hot washed the clips, rinsed with isopropyl alcohol, primed with Rustoleum self-etching spray primer and then two coats of Rustoleum spray that pretty much matched the gutter. We leave our white lights up all year as we entertain and you never see the clips. The past ones would stand out like sore thumbs. Also the old plastic ones would pop off in our strong winds. These clamp on so well- I don't know if we got lucky or our gutters are some sort of national standard, but the clip profile matched the gutter's perfectly. I did use a small drop of silicone sealant (not adhesive) under the clips before crimping them for a little extra 'grab' insurance. I did this on one clip on each side of a corner and one clip about the middle of the gutter length on each side. One thing is don't over crimp or squeeze the clamps- they aren't steel- all you need is a little squeeze with pliers- another tip- cover the plier's clamping faces with Frog tape to avoid scratching a painted clamp with the metal pliers teeth. Lastly- I love buying from a U.S. company. Just put in another order for a friend. Definitely worth the $35 for so many reasons.UPDATE: The clips are rock solid- but as noted our wind here causes some lights to flip up. To enhance these clips, we bought a coated, 1/16" cable guy wire kit here on Amazon. The other plus is with our heat and cold, the kit's turnbuckles allow for seasonal tension adjustment. So, we hang the guy wire into these clips and then hang the lights on the guy wire. The other plus is that you use the light bulb socket clip on the wire and not support the lights with the electrical cable. I then use a few zip ties to secure every few feet of lights to the guy wire. We had the big storms from Tropical Storm Alberto and not one light flipped over the gutter top and not a single clip came off the gutter. A little work does wonders. P.S. I also cleaned, primed and painted the guy wire kit hardware to match with same paint I used on the clips. The lights with the guy wire are much more neat and straight, too btw.

These were very easy to install, and very heavy duty. Had many of the cheap plastic ones, these look much better, and are very heavy duty!

Let’s be honest the price tag seems high, at first yea…..You can go to Wally’s get the plastic hooks 50 pcs for $10- those should be fine for short term winter use. See Holiday stuff goes up between Thanksgiving through Second week of Jan, north east lacks sunlight during this time, they’ll last for short term winter use. Once March hits sun is out longer and UV rays intensify. By Mid Spring the plastic hooks lose their groove and start to snap. These metal hooks are steel , perfect for year round use! They’ll hold up really well , look at the photos to get an understanding how these will grip to your gutters - definitely a DIY project , just have someone hold the ladder for you!Let’s also not forget these are made in the USA!10/10!!!

They slipped right on my gutters with no problem. The problem with LED Christmas lights though is that they are so lite that a strong wind will just blow them over the edge of the gutter and into it and the clips will go along with them. But as they demonstrate you can take a player's and clamp these down so they can't be flipped over into the gutter. Unfortunately it's not as easy as they make it look and it takes a little practice. You will also end up scratching your gutter in the process. They should design a tool for this purpose. But once you get them up and secure they seem to work well. They will definitely outlast the cheap plastic clips that everyone sells that fall apart within a season. As long as my LED lights hold out I should not have to be up on a ladder again.
