The jacket is very thin and light, offering really just the windbreaker layer of a more robust winter jacket. In this way, it's good to have as an option in your wardrobe for situations where the ambient temperature may be moderate, but the wind is blowing or there's just a chill in the air. Think beaches, high-elevation mountain passes, damp, dark forests. So, living in the Pacific Northwest, having apparel items like this that make up their own layer and nothing more can sometimes be useful. It's not meant for trekking in the snow, nor is it of the type of weight and quality you would want to wear to work -- but as an inexpensive item to fold up small, put in a ziplock bag and keep in my trunk for occasions where it's needed, it's perfect.

I got this jacket for my husband and it looks nice on him. It's lightweight and easy to care for (machine wash cold, tumble dry low). He is 6'1" 265lbs and the 3xl is roomy on him and he could pull off a 2xl even but he wanted room for layering if he wanted to. The length is okay but he wouldn't want it any shorter. He would prefer if the sleeves were just a little longer but as long as his arms aren't overhead they cover his arms okay.

The jacket length here is a bit shorter than desired and rides up easily when reaching. The material and design are nice, it just doesn't fit me properly.

My son loved this jacket but has only had it a month and a half and the seam split on the under arm… super frustrating.

By way of introduction, I live in Montana. It's winter here and cold. So, because the Holloway jacket is lightweight and not suited for the current weather, I have not tested it extensively outdoors. Also, I can't really comment on how waterproof it might be, since there is no rain, and quite worrying, very little snow this year. This jacket in size large fit properly. It is nicely made with very even stitching, no loose thread ends, and what appear to be excellent quality zippers. The lining is evenly installed in the shell and appears to be absorbent. I will note that there is no dedicated cellphone pocket, a feature which has become fairly standard on most modern jackets. But the side pockets do have zippers so your phone can be secured there. There is no filling in the jacket, only the outer shell and lining. So let me emphasize: This is a lightweight jacket, which might be more properly called a windbreaker. It would likely fit in a compact stuff sack or day pack. My sense is that the Holloway would be very appropriate attire for biking or hiking, or simply to ward off wind or rain on a brisk (but not too cold) day.The English have a saying: "There are horses for courses," meaning that you choose the right horse for the ride planned. Similarly, one should have several jackets, and pick the right jacket for the anticipated weather. In short, this Holloway jacket is not for winter wear. The jacket is attractive, and appears to be very well made. It would be a great choice for a bike ride, or for travel when rain or wind might be encountered. I look forward to wearing it next spring or summer.Just don't plan to wear this jacket skiing.

I ordered this lightweight jacket and I am pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The jacket was waiting for me in my mailbox, so it's light enough that the postal person was able to leave in my mailbox. The materials is a little more wrinkled than the description would suggest. I've taken a photo of the full jacket to provide an idea about the wrinkles. It's really no big deal. The sleeves have elastic cuffs which I really appreciate. What I LOVE about this jacket is the easy care instructions that I've attached. You can wash this and tumble dry on low heat. No fabric softener or dry cleaning, but otherwise you're good to go.I'd call this jacket more of a wind breaker or light raincoat, as the materials seems like it would be at least repel water. Overall, nice jacket for the price. I highly recommend.
