I have some resonator guitars and when a new bridge/saddle is needed they are not slotted for strings as this can vary by the guitar maker. I made some repairs to two guitars recently and these files make slotting so much easier and accurate. Highly recommend going with these as opposed to some cheaper options which simply don’t work that well.

easy to use and quite accurate although the guage is accurate but if you are using this for say 9-42 it's going to be too wide so use this for 10-46

These work great, but are probably a little bigger than their stated widths.They also leave a raised center piece in the cavity. I ended up having to use the tip of the file to clean up what seems to be an inaccurate grind on the files.They DID get the job done though, and for $80 less than the next step up.
