I wanted a good quality snap for a custom holster... either we got some mismatched parts or something was awry. It took pliers to get them to snap together and did damage to get it apart again. Had to remove and replace with some cheaper snaps we found. Not what I expected.

While the quality is there, I will never understand for the life of me why the posts are so short. These are suitable for fabrics and thinner materials. They should make these available in 5/16" post or better. Overall, the posts are way too short. I have no use for these.

Looks good... Will up-date when I have the chance to use them.Update:It is a learning curve - YouTube can help. You may find you may have to grind down the center post a litle if the material is too thin and too much of the post is exposed. It makes it too hard to seat well and be secure. You only need an 1/8th inch exposed and it will seat well and much easier.Try on scrap 1st and check out YouTube before you install one on your project.I like the snaps and trying it out on the Leather Multi Tool Sheath I made opening and closing a dozen times I think it will last a good long time.

I've tried many different brands of snaps, these are far superior to any other that I found on Amazon. Excellent quality, very durable.
