This was easy to put together and it looks great. I love the butcher block top. Perfect size for my small kitchen.

One person can assemble. Takes about 2.5 hours and I had no trouble following instructions. Other than the top being solid wood the rest of the cart is made from mdf be careful to have screws placed correctly. The drawer is flimsy and won't support much weight - full tray of cutlery is pushing the limits. We bought it for a coffee/tea station for a senior's apartment and it works fine.

The wood on the legs started to split while putting the wheels on. Need to be really careful assembling it because it’s not the best quality. However, it looks really nice and is very functional as a coffee cart for our home. I changed out the knobs for nicer ones and it looks great.

Good value for money. We needed a small stand to put a coffee machine on, works great and looks good too.

Thank goodness I bought two because I needed the parts from one of them for the other. Still missing parts. No holes drilled where there needed to be holes. So after THREE DAYS of trying, I ended up with one good unit and one lackluster but there is no way I am trying to send that back. Although attractive and sturdy, I am 100% disappointed. PS: I waited to write the review until my temper calmed.

After unpacking and lining up the parts for inventory, I sat down and 'read' through the instructions. What I noticed immediately is that there was an omission of one item number on the printed instructions that was corrected by a stick on film that was updated. Impressed that they would fix this in such a manner. The instructions are all sketches. These are the most well thought out set of instructions I've come across - I've been putting stuff together for decades. If you set out the pieces and follow the instructions front to back, it will be put together in the most efficient mannerpossible. As I was building it I was sure when I was done the door would be misaligned, or the drawer. Nope. The reveal line on the door is perfect. The drawer is the same. This is a sturdy unit. The wheels are heavy duty. The locking mechanism on the wheels is also heavy duty. Do not attempt to use your foot to lock it unless you have soled shoes on - not kidding. It arrived today and unpacking, getting everything together; small x-tip screwdriver, medium x-tip screwdriver, and a battery operated driver is all you need. Once I got the hang of the system it went faster. Expect two hours time from opening the box to patting yourself on the back for buying this unit. The main reason I got it was for the height. It extends my countertop with about a 3/8" drop. One thing to note: Several of the parts and hardware were exhibiting corrosion. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. --- oh... the camlock connectors are not the best quality but they work. I've used better in the past for other furniture. Do not hesitate to purchase this item.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this small island for a small kitchen… especially before you splurge on an expensive, solid-wood island that costs $1000 or more.*First, the good. The packaging was better than expected. This undoubtedly helped protect the various pieces during shipment, so the final assembled product’s appearance was better than expected. The product arrived early, too. Upon opening, I found the cutting board top to be the highest quality component in the box; it has some respectable density. The quality, fit, and finish of the cabinet materials were better than I expected for the price. The instructions were better than average, too. The manufacturer provided extra fasteners which is almost unheard of these days. Although the box comes with everything you need to build the island, I used my own #2 cross-tip screwdriver and a rubber mallet to complete full assembly in under an hour.*Second, the bad. The parts of this unit all have pre-drilled holes. Some of these holes were drilled into the cabinet joints which could weaken the cabinet, in my opinion. Also, the pre-drilled wooden dowel pin holes were slightly too large for the dowels to fit snugly, and one of the holes was drilled too deep and, as a result, the dowel pushed right through the exterior white-painted veneer. (See photo.) But, I used wood glue to secure all of the dowels and a touch of paint helped hide the blemish. The cabinet also incorporated some fiberboard panels and some cheap plastic fasteners, but these no doubt help keep the product price low.

I had a terrible time assembling BUT with that said....the finished cart is very nice. I would not assemble alone again, but would not hesitate to purchase again. BEWARE OF THE DIRECTIONS. They are tiny, and left out one item that needed to complete. All in all...the most important thing is that the cart is very nice. It's being used to hold my Berkey water filtering system. It is a plus to have a cart that is visually appealing
