These look great overall, but I'm slightly concerned and confused as to why one type of seed in the package came in a tiny clear ziploc bag with the name on a plain white sticker. The others are in professional-looking baggies and are sealed, so this one is noticeably different. Otherwise, I love the variety and am excited to try them out. There are plenty of seeds in each bag, so I may even offer to seed swap with other gardeners if they work well for me!

This is an abundant pack of 5 varieties of melon seeds that seem to all be healthy. As other commentors have mentioned, it is helpful to know the planting zone as every one is Zone 3-9 besides the Yellow Canary variety which is Zone 2-5. I live in Zone 10 so I have planted the other 4 melons to try seeing as the Yellow Canary probably will not even sprout in my area. It claims to have 275+ seeds which is a lot! I am not sure if there was an expiration date, but usually seeds can last about a year so maybe some will be able to sprout next year. If the stated germination rates of >90% are accurate, that would be a LOT of melon plants growing. It was a nice addition to include the name tags so you can mark the location of each variety. Be sure to read the pack of each seed pack for instructions and how far apart to plant the seeds and some of the varieties have a large spread and need a lot of space to grow properly. Will update as soon as or if the seedlings take off.

This is a lovely set of non GMO and Heirloom melon seeds. My mum love all melons so I thought that I would give it a go and grow these for her. I like that there is a variety in the set. These are USA-sourced seeds which I appreciate. Growing directions are included which I find helpful. I am an avid gardener but I've never grown melons before simply because I do not eat them. I can start them inside and then transplant them as we have a short growing season. I appreciated the packaging, bright, cheerful and sealed to protect all 5 individual packages.

I wish that the USDA growing zone was listed for these in the description! Most are for USDA zones 3-9, with the yellow canary melon (new to me) being for zones 2-5.I'm in South Florida (zone 11) so these cooler climate seeds are not likely to do well here. If I wanted to have a fighting chance at these producing fruit, I would have had them planted/ growing 3 months ago (yes, December/January). With the maturity time of 90 days that will put it in the middle of summer when it's just too hot and humid. I've tried it before with watermelon (I thought Sugar Baby) for this zone and they don't flower enough to make the space taken up by the vines worth it beyond a producing/maturity date around April. In other words, I *hoped* that these would be more heat tolerant than older varieties because of their smaller size (and warming temperatures in all zones), but the reverse was true. They are in a resealable mylar bag (mine unfortunately was sliced with a razorblade before arriving), so I will have to wait 6 months for the fall to start these for winter planting when the temps are more agreeable for these (but fewer hours of sunlight).4 were packed in paper seed envelopes with QR code for growing guide and basic information printed on the packet, the honeydew was just in a clear resealable bag with no information and looking orphaned (pic).

These seed packets come with lots of seeds.I was excited to get these but I had to give them to my son as I didn't realize how much space they require to growand I do not have that much room in my own yard. This will be his first time planting seeds.Great amount of seeds for the cost and good variety of melons.

The seeds packets were nicely packaged. There are lots of seeds. I sown 6 seeds each variety 3 weeks ago. Yellow Canary germinated all 6. Other varieties germinated between 4-5 out of 6 seeds, except Honeydew. It just started sprouting 3 weeks after sown the seeds. I'm not an expert gardener. I've never grown melons. So I might have done something wrong. Seedlings look healthy. So far I'm happy with the seeds.

It is April, but in North Texas, one can plant melons from April 1st  forward. In late March, put in a melon patch with drip irrigation and tube packets of soil, and then plant the melon seeds directly in the soil. North Texas had several two- to three-day cold spells in April, so there was no sign of the melons. It took two weeks for the first germination of a sugar baby watermelon seedling. While waiting, I drenched the tubes in a microbial mix to ensure soil quality. When the temperature hit 80 degrees and stayed there for several hours, the cantaloupe, honeydew, and crimson red watermelon popped up. I still have a few holes that need a seedling, but I peeked, and the plant is there but still curled downward. Watermelon seeds are brown. Cantaloupe seeds are white; a transparent packet in the pack shows that. Now that melon seedlings have shown up, I can work on securing trellis and melon slings for vertical and horizontal growth. Some seed packets labeled as heirloom which means can save the seeds from the melon itself for next year planting. Good variety of seeds for planting a patch.
