This panel arrived new condition inside a generic box. The instructions are followable and easily understandable. The shower panel feels like like it is quality made. I like all the different features it has. The handheld is a bit on the light and plasticy side, though. Overall, I would recommend.

BACKGROUND:This was a Vine suggestion in exchange for an unbiased review. The selection of this product was prompted by a previous Vine product project that went quite wrong. What started out as a review for a screw extractor to remove the broken off screw from the stem of my shower valve ended up with a valve that was twisted off the base when I could not get the trim ring to come off the valve body. So, after hammering some 9mm cast lead bullets into the holes in the valve base so that I could turn the water back on in the house, I started looking for Vine shower heads and valves that need to be reviewed and I came up with this one.I liked the design of this one because it looked like it had a lot of the unit on the exterior of the wall, so I thought that there might be a chance that I could install it without having to destroy the tile and cement backer board wall. Whether that is the case, I guess we'll see...INITIAL OBSERVATIONS:Interestingly, the metal parts come in cloth bags that are made from a material similar to T-shirts. The longer one could easily be used for a smaller diameter (or more compressed) "body pillow". There were also the normal styrofoam and some other type of foam for additional protection. My wife says that it looks like the type of shower systems that you see in the updated hotels these days.Although the installed face is fairly clean with just the necessary controls, the hidden rear is an (orderly) nest of hoses. Considering the number of possible outlets for the water to eventually come out of, this is really not surprising. If *I* had been designing it, I would have put even more valves on the unit so that the volume of water at any outlet could be controlled. Most people don't want that level of complexity (I prefer the term "flexibility"), so it's not surprising that the manufacturer would only put what was necessary.COMPLAINTS / ISSUES:One potential issue with this sort of system is that with this many hoses, valves, and sprayers, there is a significantly higher chance for something to eventually leak. As such, it makes sense that they have it designed as a surface mount device so that the vast majority of the potential leaks are going to happen on the outside of the wall in the shower and you will be less likely to have water damage in the wall.In 20 years though, will repair parts be available? I seriously doubt it... With this sort of product, you save money on the initial purchase of the product, but in the future, instead of a possibly cheap repair, you will need to replace the entire unit. At my age though, statistically there is a good chance I won't be around at that time anyway. :(IMPRESSIONS:The water supply lines are fiber reinforced vinyl lines with 1/2" female couplings on them. I'm not sure if they are tapered like should be done with 1/2" NPT, but the hose has a plastic seating surface that should fit against the 1/2" MNPT fitting that it needs for the hot and cold inputs. Since this is a potential failure point, it might be advisable to have the supply lines extend through the wall and so that you do not have the connection point inside the wall. I have copper pipes and I'm not looking forward to having to cut my pipes to remove the old shower valve and install 1/2" MNPT fittings, but I don't have a choice. I don't do enough plumbing soldering to trust that I will get it right the first time and if you don't get it right, it can get very messy, very quickly...CONCLUSION:I'm going to mark this review as "preliminary" so that I will remember to revisit it with more detail as I complete the install and have a chance to use the various features on the unit. For now though, I would say that it ranks as "slightly above average" compared to the typical shower head unit. The use of plastic sprayer and valve bodies does concern me a bit since my previous Delta unit was all brass. There's also a good chance that if the unit ever has a problem, replacement parts are unlikely to be available, unlike the Delta unit. Well, assuming that you don't completely screw things up doing a simple screw replacement like I unfortunately did. :(ORIGINAL AD DESCRIPTION:Homevacious 5 IN 1 Rainfall Waterfall Shower Panel with Handheld Shower Matte Black Stainless Steel Shower Tower Panel System Massage Body Jets with Tub Spout Water Wall Mount$189.99TSTAR RATING SCALE:1 -- Poor product; Waste of money at ANY price; Blatant lies in the original listing.2 -- Below average product; Something about it is a bit lacking; It could be conflicted specifications or errors in the original listing or that it was arrived with damage that was unlikely to have occurred during shipping and should have been caught in either the manufacturer's or seller's quality control.3 -- Average product; Meets expectations, perfectly serviceable, but does not do anything that sets it apart from similar products; Does not have some features that makes me say, "Wow, that's a neat feature".4 -- Above average product; Something about it sets it a bit above similar products on the market.5 -- Excellent product (or perhaps customer service); There is NO room for improvement whatsoever; NOTHING is perfect, so this rating *should* be EXTREMELY difficult to achieve.ǝuᴉʌ/ʇǝu.sɔ-ɥs.ʍʍʍ:ORDERED:2024-08-31:RECEIVED:2024-09-09:PRELIM:2024-09-10:AID:B0D2W1NJ1D
