I don’t like the fact that it keeps getting stuck and the animals can still go in there and eat the food and not get caught

Metal is on the thin side as compared to the ones the pros use.I was actually advised to return it because of the quality but I'm beyond the return date.Hopefully I can get some use out of it.

I used this to catch a woodchuck. It took several weeks, but once caught it held him in there. It's fairly sturdy but I could see a stronger animal like a raccoon maybe bending it apart to escape, key is to move it quick once caught. The woodchuck was gnawing at the wire for awhile but couldn't get through, probably was in there for an hour. It worked so I'm happy, good cage.

Before I bought this one I read of all the problems people were having with it. But then I noticed that all of the live traps had a few people having problems. This one was easy to set up. Pull it out of box. It comes flat. Pull the top from the bottom and the walls come up. Add the end. Insert the rod, add bait and wait. Caught raccoon who's been drinking all of the sugar water out of my humming bird feeder all summer. Trap was not bent or damaged at all. I gave the raccoon a stern lecture about respecting other people's privacy, some literature on Type II diabetes (he's drunk quite a bit of sugar water), and released him into a nearby (short drive in my truck by long walk for his legs) forrest.

Fast next day delivery. Got this to replace old trap that finally got Raccoon wrecked. Set up and caught Raccoon same day. Most of the clips that hold trap together loose, some fell off - crimped with pliers. Bar at release gate came loose and bent, would have lost critter but I always use a couple of cable ties too. Bar to trap release came off, crimped both sides some to keep it installed.

With a field cam, I was able to watch a raccoon distroy this trap. This raccoon bent the support bar on the rear door, bent the rear door and was able to enter the trap from the rear. Destroyed the metal release plate while making a pretzel out of the trap door bar. Needless to say he walked away after his/her play date. Works fine for cats, opossum and small racoons.

My daughter was nmoving and her cat jumped out of her arms and took off. We used this cage to bring her home. Sprinkled cat food outside. put a container of her litter outside. put some of her toys and food inside the cage. Perfect solution. and a product that any animal rescue would be glad to have donated.
