The first time this was sat on, a piece of the leg broke off. The company did give me some money back to repair it myself. I was satisfied with that, but the brand new chair is no longer brand new. Iโm also uncertain about the strength of the entire chair and will another part break soon? I do like the chair. It rocks well.

We just received the chair yesterday and struggled putting it together today. The booklet is all pictures and there is no written directions. My first impression was the color of the wood. The wood looks beautiful. Then I picked up my first piece to assemble the chair. My thougt was, "Uh oh, it is really light wood." I almost sent it back at that point but my husband wanted to continue. The wood is a soft light spruce so it scratches and dents easily. When you put the bolts in be careful because the wood chips easily. We already have scrathes and a little bit of chipped wood. I plan on touching it up with stain and perhaps put a polyurethane coat on it to see if that seals the wood. It is a pretty color and it is comfortable. I'm just not sure how strudy or how long it will last. It was a super good price but sometimes cheaper is not always better. It is sitting on my screened porch and looks pretty but time will tell how long it will last. Next time I'll be sure to choose a chair made with a harder wood.

Allow 90 minutes for assembly. The assembly instruction booklet shows two drawings of the chair attached to the glider base. Use the photo in the Amazon cart. Booklet is wrong.
