OEM Honda timing chain was a perfect replacement for my 2012 CRV, the VTC had failed and old chain had stretched and jumped time at 160,000 miles and I got it up and going by replacing the VTC and chain. There are lots of YouTube videos that show the process, one tip is to set the bottom crank at TDC by the marks and use drill bits to set the timing on the cams. I put the chain on by aligning the back cam and the crank cam. The VTC marks and the chain didn’t line up and were 1 tooth off with the chain, but timing was set with the drill bits. It’s been on for several weeks abs the car has much more power and no more rattle upon startup - highly recommend
