This is only getting a 3 because customer service eventually replaced it, and the baseline function of a playard does what it needs to.The first one we got was defective. All of the top rails would click and lock, but one half of one rail wouldn’t engage with the locking mechanism, so it just kept collapsing on a short side. Contacted the manufacturer, and after a lot of back and forth, (some assumptions about my abilities to follow instructions, which was frustrating), AND an offer of $70 to “fix it ourselves” despite the major safety concerns, we *eventually* got a replacement after we were so frustrated we decided we just wanted a refund. I’d say it’s one of those “you get what you pay for” type things, but there are cheaper, better quality ones out there without the extras that I wish we’d gone with instead.The good:- Wheels with locks: The wheels function well, so it can be moved pretty easily.- Material: Sturdy, should be very easy to wipe down and keep clean. Solid colors.- Easy to setup/take down: The functional one is extremely easy to open and close. The extras take a while, though.The bad:- Sound machine: Oh my god. The only way to turn it off is to keep hitting the music button (and crank up the volume in the process) until it stops. The lights flash way too fast for my taste (overstimulation much?). The vibration setting makes an awful noise, and again, you have to just keep cranking it up until it turns off.- Changing table: It’s a puddle just waiting to happen under a baby getting a diaper change, and has extra straps with upside down hooks on straps under it that make no sense.- Canopy with netting: The rod inside the canopy was backwards and I had to scrunch the material up to flip the rod so it was rounded (yay more DIY on a new product.) It definitely won’t keep a cat out.The meh:- “Bassinet”: Just a netting bag that creates a false bottom to lift the base up higher. Moves around a lot but should be sufficient.- Weight: This thing is actually pretty hefty. I won’t be packing it up to take it anywhere very often, that’s for sure.- Safety recall registration only works on tablets or computers, not on mobile devices.

It’s easy to set parts together. The changing table is so practical for me, which is not too high or low. I don’t have to bend myself when I change the diapers. The bed is so sturdy, it still stays shape even I shake it. The storage bag is also helpful. The only thing I think need to improved is the mattress. If the mattress will be thicker and softer, it could be better.
