The person who repaired my machine said to order this bobbin casing as mine could break down and it would be good to have a spare. He gave me the part number number and I ordered it. Not needing it right away, I stored it. My machine isn't working again and so I put this part in it and of course, it doesn't fit - the machine just jams. I definitely won't buy this product again as it isn't true to the part number. I wouldn't have given it any star.

The tension screw on this bobbin case kept falling out. Ironically, I bought this as a backup to use with wooly nylon and my twin needle, so I needed the tension to be dropped to zero. While it might not be a problem that the screw won't stay in, I am disappointed in the quality of this product. Even for the price, I still expect the basic function of a pretty simple part to be intact. I am hoping it is a fluke and will be ordering a new one after I return this one. Thankfully it was a backup and not a replacement, or I would be dead in the water right now!

This Janome Model 4618 Bobbin Case 627569003 worked perfectly to replace the original case that had become damaged on my older Janome Harmony 8080 sewing machine and saved me a much more expensive trip to sewing machine repairman. I’m back to sewing!

All my stitches were too tight. I checked everything before checking the new bobbin case. Turns out it was what was too tight and it didn’t even have a tension screw to release it. I had been trying to turn the wrong screw, which wouldn’t budge. I looked at my old bobbin case. There are two screws on it. Only one of those are meant to adjust the tension. On the new case, there was only one screw, and it wasn’t the one for releasing the tension. There was a hole there for the tension screw, but no screw was there. I had to send it back. Very disappointed. Sewing is my business and this has set back my customers’ holiday orders. Since I didn’t have time to wait for a replacement, I had to sand down the nicks on the old case and put that one back in and sew really slowly so that i could finish sewing my orders. I will be spending more to get a different brand of case.
