This filter produced a HUGE amount of black carbon dust everywhere. The carbon dust stains things black and is also mildly abrasive, so l was not a huge fan of that. Aside from the dust issue, this is a good filter - sturdy and handy that it comes with an extra prefilter for the outside. This is not a filter of the type where you can change the carbon inside, so you must throw away the entire unit after about a year.

It is always difficult to assess filter performance but this seems like a quality filter. Definitely has a lot of charcoal in it and a lot of surface area to allow air to move through easily. I paired it with a 4" inline blower and am using it in my basement to help keep dust down when I'm working on projects.

works great for my grow tent with ac infinity exhaust, acts and works just as the original one. i have the 4inch and this fit perfectly, you will need your own tape if you are looking to tape it down to the exhaust. it comes with hangers and filters. it also looks very nice and its study with nice build quality. overall great product highly recommended it.

This filter is fantastic! Its compact size makes it easy to install without being bulky, yet it does an excellent job of cleaning the air. I use it whenever I’m soldering or working with any material that produces fumes—simply run the exhaust through the filter before venting it outside. The difference is impressive compared to direct venting alone. Noise is minimal (it does depend on the fan you pair with it), and overall it’s a great value for keeping your workspace air clean.

It's not packed tight with carbon, you can hear it move around inside, so it may leak a bit of smell through the internal gaps. It will still do it's job on the bulk of it and make it far less noticeable, but don't expect this to act like a seal. Its cheap and works though(better than I made it sound just now), I'm not trying to break any laws in an apartment building(or anywhere else) so I'm not concerned.

I use these when I want to smoke a cigar, but can't be bothered to go outside. Paired with a 4" vent blower (I just sit the intake on top of the filter and plug it in), any odor is completely removed from the [small] room in short order.The filter comes with a spare dust filter, which is also a carbon filter itself, along with straps to suspend it in the air, which is a plus, as previous models I have purchased in the past omitted these.

We use this filter in our grow tents. The filter is well made and seems durable. It is a replacement for the ventilation kit and comes with a prefilter. The filter works well with the 4 in vent fan kit and quietly filters odors from the tent or grow space. The size is perfect for smaller grow tents like a 2x2 but should work well in larger ones too.
