There are some U-tube videos on ways to join sides. Worth watching first if you don't have any experience with wide tape (or any Velcro size).

I received two big rolls, one hook and one loop. I got this to redo my pedal board (guitar effects). Iโd been fed up with cheap velcro so I upgraded to that Press-Lok stuff last year (it connects with little mushroom-shaped studs rather than hook and loop, if youโre unfamiliar). That stuff sure worked well. Too well. Ended up having to use a pry bar to get the wah pedal back off. Given enough surface area you could probably tow a trailer with that stuff. Damn... in retrospect I shouldnโt have opted for the strongest type either. Oh well, weโre all relearning past mistakes these days. Anyway, I needed something thatโs not so insanely clingy but still a bit codependent. This stuff did the trick. The adhesive backing is strong so far. I cleaned and prepped the surface with rubbing alcohol and throughly pressed it down all over (I like to use the backing paper from the adhesive as it allows me to press and rub across the hook side easier). Itโs been about 2 weeks now and no troubles so far. It grips well enough just lightly pressing together, still removes easily. But if I press down firmly and do the little twist side-to-side wiggle trick it grabs on really well and then I can lift up the whole board by one pedal. Good โnuff then.I would like to point out that thereโs about 0.5โ along one edge of the roll where thereโs no adhesive so itโs effectively more like 5.5โ of usable width. Itโs only bad along one edge. The other side has a dead zone too but itโs negligible, say 3mm.

Ok, this hook & loop is great to keep things in place. No issues of movement if enough area is covered. It's fairly strong that I have to peel it off before changing positions. It's quite a big roll of 20 feet. So, a lot of repeated use can be expected. I do have a bit of concern about the adhesive backs, it appear to be removed without removing residue and no discoloration on the surface, but I will have to get back a few months later, as this issue had happened with other products. If it does then I will update this.

Today in review, I have the Dovesail Hook and Loop Tape with Adhesive 5.1'' x 20 Feet, Self Adhesive Hook and Loop Strips Keep Sofa Cushions from Sliding, Keep Carpet in Place, Heavy Duty Non Slip Cushion Pads Sheets-Black.I have an old couch whose seat cushions annoyingly always slide forward, which then allows the back cushions to slide down, after a little use or one round of zoomies from my dogs.A day didnโt go by without me needing to fix the cushions underneath my couch cover. When I saw this, I thought it was well worth the try. As soon as it came in, I took everything off of the couch to immediately put down 2 strips of the Velcro.A tip: What I did first was I stuck the separate hook and loop rolls together evenly then cut the strips to length before taking off one side of the backing paper to stick to the bottom of the couch. Then I pulled off the other backing paper and put the cushions into place on top of it. I just repeated the process for the second strip. That way I didnโt have to go through the trouble of attempting to line them up when sticking the strips in their respective locations separately to the cushions and the couch itself. So far, the cushions havenโt moved a bit during normal use plus the dogs having themselves a race. I also have a good bit of leftover to use for other projects. The adhesive feels very good and it actually surprised me with how well it stuck to the couch fabric while I was pulling off the second pieces of backing paper on each of the strips I used. Since I use a couch cover, I donโt remove the cushions from my couch very often at all so I could see this lasting for quite a long time. *fingers crossed*All in all, I consider this a good value for the width and length of the rolls and it does work well for me also. Itโs not that often when I see a product actually do a good job at everything it claims for a budget price.

I severely underestimated just how wide 5 inch velcro would be, because that's what this is. You get a 20-foot roll of the "hook" tape and a 20-foot roll of the "loop" tape. Cut an equal length of each and you're in business. And the beauty of this enormous size is that if you have something smaller, you just cut off a smaller piece. For instance, cut off 1 inch and you have a 5"x1" strip... and with 20 feet, you can cut nearly 250 of those! No need to buy smaller strips. This is a definite buy.

I use hook and loop material for lots of stuff in the garage and around the house. One of the main uses I have for it is for attaching guitar effects pedals to pedal boards (platforms that hold the effects pedals so you can reach the buttons while playing.)Most hook and loop tends to come in fairly narrow strips, so you end up having to cut multiple pieces to attach larger pedals, or cover larger boards-that's not the case here. This stuff is 5 full inches wide, so even the largest pedals can be covered with one piece.Another place hook and loop can be problematic is with the adhesive; it's useless if the hook and look is stronger than the adhesive, and you pull it off the backing when you're trying to separate it. No worries here-the adhesive is nice and aggressive, so it stays put.Be sure to read the description carefully-you don't realize what a good value this is until you see the sizes. This is A LOT of hook and loop material for the $$.
