Easy Installation

No additional drilling or cutting is needed. Remove the factory plastic lid. Then put the new lockbox in place and fix it with basic hand tools using supplied screws. It takes about 30 minutes to get it done.

This looks nice, but #1 they need to provide stick foam pads to put on the closure so it does not rattle, why do I have to run to home depot? #2 if you use a bed mat you cannot open this. You either need to cut your bed mat or lift it out of the way to open this.

My Tacoma was missing the lid to one of the bed storage areas. This metal locking lid costs less than the plastic OEM lid. I replaced the lock with a $7 lock from Home Depot that’s much more sturdy. I also added weatherstripping inside the lid to aid in weatherproofing and reduce rattling. Considering my options, I’m very happy with the outcome.
