This review is for the 4-way connector "holder". There is good clamping strength to hold one end of the 4-way and provided means to keep wires up and secure. The only down side are the 2 mounting screws provided which I didn't use. Drilling a pilot hole and/or using hex-head self tapping screws worked much better. Otherwise, I would use this clamping system again.

Recently installed a EcoHitch designed for Toyota Sienna Hybrid . Harness plug fit snug in clamp . I used my own lock nuts and bolts to secure firmly in place rather than with the tap screws in kit . Ran harness inside bumper with only plug extending outside bumper at clamp . Black clamp and black plug cover looks clean and barely noticeable under bottom of bumper both secured to .

I used this to replace that rusty piece of bent metal that had twisted into a knot under my tow bracket. You know what I'm talking about. This installed quickly and easily and in addition to looking 1000% better, I hope it will be more durable as well. Time will tell, I suppose. But for now, it seems like a no brainer. Just get it.

Aside from the fact that I had to do a little carving to accommodate the dust cap lanyard of my harness this is a nice bracket that holds the plug securely. I had to fabricate a bracket to mount it to my bumper but end result in nice and consealed thanks to the low profile of the Hopkins mount.

This was the least expensive option for a secure attachment of a flat 4 connector to my truck bumper. I had a metal one put in at an RV Repair Shop years before and it kept getting bent when backing up into parking spaces and against curbs. This connector lies very flat and is very secure. I am super happy that I have a very durable flat 4 mount and it was very inexpensive.

I bought this bracket to go with the "Hopkins 42475 Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Kit" (that part number is specific to the Jeep Liberty KJ, but I wouldn't be surprised if all of the Hopkins Plug-In Simple wiring kits have same 4-flat plug). I bought this after trying another "universal" 4-flat plug bracket that in fact was not universal enough.This bracket is specifically made for the Hopkins plug, and even clamps around the plug cap retainer, so even if the cap comes off of the plug it's not going to get lost.I paired this bracket with the "Tow Ready 118140" bracket to attach it to my hitch receiver instead of zip-tying or drilling new holes. I did have to go to the hardware store to get longer screws than what came with the Tow Ready bracket, but the holes on both brackets lined up and it resulted in a very clean looking install.I'm very happy with this purchase, and even if it only lasts a couple of years it's very cheap, so I would definitely buy it again.

This product DOES NOT include the connector and cover shown in the picture. It is a molded plastic bracket that clamps around your existing connector and fastens to your vehicle with two #8 x 1-1/4" self-drilling sheet metal screws at about 2-1/8" O.C.The interior of the bracket is molded to the general shape of a flat connector, but since there is no standard design for these connectors, count on using a Dremel tool and body putty to make it fit your particular connector.For a piece of molded plastic and two screws, this product is overpriced [$4.17] and the product description is inadequate, so I give it 3 stars, but it does what it's supposed to do well enough.

If you are installing at T connector style wiring harness (w normal 4 pin flat connector) on your vehicle and would rather not let your wires dangle in the wind, then this is the product for you.I found the prior review about the shape of the connector being round/square to be confusing, and almost passed this item up because of it. I can assure you that if you live in the US, and have a standard flat 4 pin connector, that this will work for you. It comes with two self tapping screws that will screw right in on your receiver. The base of one side is rounded to be mounted on a tubular receiver, and the other is flat. I would suggest pre-drilling the holes (with the supplied self tapping screws) before mounting the receiver on your vehicle if it is a new install. Use a punch to make a divot if you are drilling into tube, as it will help the screw stay in place.The dust cap is not included, but it (was for me) included with my T-connector style wiring harness made by the same manufacturer. The bracket is even notched out to accept the cap's retainer band.Great product.
