My horse is a rescue with metabolic issues so treats need to be low sugar and minimal. They smell very nice and big treat. My horse is boarded at a rescue/sanctuary where we have seniors who need soft treats but also low sugar , these fit that so well. I have yet to find a horse that doesn’t go crazy over this treat. I also love that I can break it into smaller pieces real easily so they think they get multiple treats. It is pricier than comparable treats and seems to be out of stock frequently to where subscription option was canceled. Until I find a diy recipe (I am looking due to price) that’s as popular as this, I’ll keep stocking up on this but yes if it gets more economical I may not need to find a diy option.

Giving only 1 star because I have tried to contact the company twice and no response. I inquired about when their most recent analysis of sugar and starch was done and if they use a fixed formula for these treats. Have noticed a change in texture and color. Packaging has changed also. My guess is less expensive. Where else are they cutting costs? Ingredients? I question their integrity at this point because of the lack of response to my questions. Makes me wonder if they are really providing what they advertise. I will not buy again. Better to go with a beet pulp based treat, but you won’t find it on Amazon. More transparency, better customer service, and better quality for the money.

Great for any horse! They are low in carbs/ sugar which is fantastic and super hard to find. The barn I'm at all the girls love these! I bought them for the horse I lesson on kiwi she is (diabetic) and can't have lot of carbs/sugar and has to stay in dry lot to prevent her blood work from skyrocketing off sugary grass. Kiwi absolutely love these and will give me the shake down for more wiggling her muzzle all over my jacket looking for more and lick my hands like a puppy. I highly recommend these treats for any horse!

My horses absolutely LOVE these cookies! The vet likes them, too, because my pony was getting fat and needed a "diet" treat! They are great for training and groundwork. My only complaint is that they are big and I need to break them up to use them for treats. It is possible, but they do tend to crumble a bit (my horses still eat the crumbs!). I wish the seller would make another product with this same recipe but pressed into smaller size treats.

Other people have said these work for pills but they just crumble apart. Maybe the formula has changed? Anyway they don’t work at all.

Always consistently good. They are soft enough to break apart into smaller pieces. I use them to hide pills, which works fabulously. My horse has Cushing's Disease, and these are one of the treats he can safely eat.

They have changed the packaging. The treats came in a zip lock plastic bag in a flimsy cardboard box in an Amazon bag. The box broke open in shipping and half the treats were in crumbs. I would suggest rethinking this new packaging. Otherwise great product and my horse loves them.

I was looking for a soft treat with low sugar for my 25-year-old Rockie mare, and these hit the spot. The only thing I don't like about them is that they are crumbly - but that may be because they meet the "soft" requirement. They were disappearing so fast I thought the feeder was giving them to her but it turned out he was eating them himself. So glad they are made with quality ingredients so he didn't have any ill effects.
