A 12T/3mm nylon drive gear failed in a Mr. Christmas carousel. The manufacturer wanted $26 for a replacement nylon gear! Bogus!Among the many 12T gears available here in AmazonLand, I chose this product. It's an exact match to spec; it's metal so it'll never need to be replaced; and it has a set screw! And, it's emblazoned with "12T" on its skirt, so that's nice.The gear meshed perfectly within the carousel's transmission. All praise to goes me for being an excellent shopper!

Upgraded to larger 4.8" tires on my son's Traxxas Rustler from the worn out factory rubber. Swapped the 16-tooth for this 12-tooth pinion gear. I has the stock 90-tooth spur gear so lowered the gear ratio down a little more vs with stock tires and the 16-90 gear setup. No issues with the gear and installed easily on the stock Titan 12 550 electric motor. It is now driving around with plenty of torque to move the larger tires. Happy with this purchase.

Well made gear fits motor shaft snugly teeth are machined accurately much quieter than stock 14 tooth gear & improved crawlability now I can use light throttle to just crawl up obstacles that used to require heavy throttle

I seem to break these often. I wonder if they are hard enough. They do the trick, but break after a while. I have bought a few of these from Amazon.

This pinion is more durable than the cheap standard one which comes with every RTR RC car. I've used it on a Traxxas Summit VXL. Now I'm selling this car and I'm driving an Axial SCX10 and I'll put this 12T pinion gear on it to gain torque.
